blueschica
Bonnie and Clyde- 1967 w/Warren Beatty and Faye Runaway. I hadn't sat and watched the whole thing in awhile. Still a really good movie, but less plot flow and more jumping around from scene to scene than I remembered. I read that it was because the director was imitating French New Wave films that apparently do the same thing. I found it distracting, though.
Lucas
First time in probably 30 years The Omen .. what a masterpiece .. just reading a bit about The Omen, and I came across this .. https://www.cbsnews.com/pictures/creepy-strange-tales-cursed-movies/4/ Take it for what you will .. Soon after the filming, John Richardson, the special effects artist who created the decapitation scene in The Omen, was involved in an automobile accident in which his assistant and partner Liz Moore was killed: Special effects artist John Richardson, who helped with the film's infamous decapitation scene, was in a car crash during post-production. While Richardson survived the Friday the 13th crash, the head-on collision beheaded Richardson's passenger, assistant Liz Moore, in a manner that was eerily similar to the death scene he helped shoot. Richardson reportedly saw a road sign near the accident scene showing the distance to a Dutch town that read: Ommen, 66.6 km. I found these two pics - I assume these are what the article refers to: Willing to bet that's apocryphal. Well, Liz actually died, and even the less hysterical sites have it being reported as a beheading The accident was in the Netherlands, where the town of Ommen is located .. It does make of interesting news ... Whether or not Richardson actually passed the 666 sign is debatable I suppose - he may not have even said that about the sign .... But I would think, IF Richardson said it, it would be in extremely bad taste for him to make that part up considering his partner was killed in the accident
Lucas
With a nor easter in the forecast last night, I stayed awake and watched the Omen II Definitely not on the level of the original, but enjoyable enough, with a few excellent and memorable scenes ( the hockey game in particular ) and Jonathan Scott-Taylor excellent in the role of Damien .. http://images3.static-bluray.com/movies/covers/98480_front.jpg

Alien Girl
Blade Runner 2049 Boorrrrrrring. :o Seriously? I loved it! Of course I was obsessed w/ the original, and some people have said that was boring. I thought 2049 was spectacular, visually stunning and just all around an awesome movie. Go figure.
liquidcrystalcompass
I bet I've seen Ghostbusters 10 times in three weeks. My 3 year old son and my 8 year old daughter basically want to watch it on repeat. So does my baby 2 year old girl. But I think she's into it because the other two are into it.

Nice to see it win cinematography at the Oscars. Deakins is one of the best and I can’t believe it was his first win. Speaking of Oscar winners....

BenjaminW
I think the last movie I saw was Darkest Hour. One of the best biopics out there in my opinion. The next movie I should get to watching is The Room.

invisible airwave
Easily the best of the sequels before it got jokey and ridiculous for better or worse. No pinball games, birthday robots and James Brown concerts in this one. Edited March 25, 2018 by invisible airwave
