Mr. Not
http://static.rogerebert.com/uploads/movie/movie_poster/thirteen-2003/large_xTH4XFEElcTjFbKGCSv6VmZ7HNj.jpg Had a TV movie quality to it, but it turns out it's just the writer/directors debut film... And it's a semi-autobiographical coming of age movie... Sorry, but your life really isn't that interesting. I made it 20 minutes in, then sort of just skimmed through the rest. I don't even care "I can't say it was bad since I didn't watch the whole thing", I mean, it could have gone either one of two ways: I kept watching and I decided to kill myself, or I kept watching and found something about the plot or the characters to be semi-redeeming... So wait - yes, it was bad. It was a poor man's version of "Kids", but I really don't even want to compare it to that movie because I actually enjoyed that. In fact,, I'll revisit that one instead sometime soon. Edited April 30, 2015 by Mr. Not

Very impressed by the often hilarious screenplay. Also, the revelation of Vision was cool. Wheldon is an underappreciated, wealthy genius.

Just came back from it at my local Laemmle art house theater. Good for what it is even though I've never read a comic book in my life. Especially like Olsen as Scarlet Witch. She's one of my favorite young actresses since I saw her great breakthrough performance in Martha Marcy May Marlene.

It's a much more serious version of the original and it assumes you know and understand the setup so it just throws you into plot.
Segue Myles
Kingdom Of Heaven: Director's Cut Possibly my favourite film, with Schindler's List and Gone With The Wind the biggest rivals!

But there were times, IMO, that the film didn't give the audience enough time to grasp what was going on. I thought it was quite good, but I think they crammed too much into it. I do think that, even though it's a sequel, they should have made it more audience-friendly, especially when a lot of the audience isn't well-read on the Avenger universe. I give it a big thumbs up, but I'm gonna have to explain a lot of it to my mother when she sees it.....
