I tried There Will Be Blood today. Amazing poster. Interesting idea. Slow. I can forgive a film for anything, but if I find it slow 9/10 I cannot forgive it. I don't think that's reason enough to hate a movie personally. What's this one about?Kinda of along the found footage genre but not excatly more like an actual documentary about an old woman with Dementia.Also,kinda of along the possession theme but with a new take,nice twist.Free on Netflix. Yes, but it has some brutal images a la Saving Private Ryan and goes for that tired "slowly dying before dying from gunshot so they can have meaningful last words" cliche like most war movies. Every scene with Christopher Lee though is good, he delivers many memorable outbursts as the belligerent Judge Jefferies. http://i.imgur.com/0sOGMre.jpg Here's an unusual one, a gothic horror film with a kinky sadomasochistic storyline. Christopher Lee likes to use a whip on his sister-in-law Daliah Lavi and she likes it... It's a good production too, it's shot very well and it looks amazing, really great lightning, you won't see anything better than this in terms of colour. The sets look great too and along with the lighting give it a classic horror film atmosphere. Point being, the two no-goods are even bigger losers than he is, because in the attempted rape they end up shooting each other. Instead of walking away, Jakarta Guy films their last moments with his phone and puts the video on YT.What follows is a twisted version of the classic master-disciple relationship, conducted through chat rooms, in which Jakarta Guy just wants to take back his life and get revenge on the politician that ended his career, while Japan Guy just wants to turn him into a real serial killer with the usual talk about power and control and such.The movie is such a mess that you end up feeling zero empathy with anyone: Jakarta Guy is too much of a loser to be even remotely likable, Japan Guy is just a creep with (obviously) a sick relationship with his dead sister. It's clear that in the end they will meet and a confrontation will follow: what is not clear is the fact the confrontation is such a mess that lacks any dramatic impact.Sick in many ways, but very poorly done.
