drbirdsong
The overwhelming consensus seems to be that Dog Years is the worse song that Rush ever did. I always thought it was I Think I'm Going Bald. I actually like the first one and cringe a bit at the second. What do you think? And, oh yeah, please feel free to chime in on your own worse choice. RUSHHEAD666
How could any real Rush fan rip on "I Think I'm Going Bald?" It's one of the most underrated songs in their musical canon. You do know why the boys wrote that song right? It was to pay homage to KISS for their song "Goin' Blind." After all Rush did open for KISS over 100 times back in the early Seventies. "Dog Years" is pure dog shit and should not be compared to something off of the EPIC MASTERPIECE "COS." "Carve Away The Stone" VS "Dog Years" would have been better. I hate "Carve Away The Stoned" One of the worst songs ever written.

Neil's drumming on that tune saves the day. "You Bet Your Life" is great too. Underrated gem. Lyrically brillant.
treeduck
"I Think I'm Going Bald" is a heavy metal masterpiece! [Even though I have more hair than the average seven TRFers] <<< Neil: "Oh God I hate that song and now I'm as bald as Lifeson!!"

Invisible To Telescopic Eye
Going Bald isn't all that bad. It's got the raw energy of youth and it's clearly a joke. Dog Years has a couple of cool riffs but the lyrics, the whole idea, the name, and the fact it was written in all seriousness just makes it a piece of shit. rushgoober
Dog Years, but I don't like either song. Both have bad lyrics, the earlier song has better music. Dog Years is worse, but I can't listen to either one.

J2112YYZ
Dog Years is worse. I Think I'm Going Bald isn't a bad song but it's not that great either. There are a lot worse to choose from. Some of which have been mentioned already like The Stars Look Down and Carve Away The Stone. I'll throw Out Of The Cradle into the worst song discussion. The Mighty Dudad
Isn't that one of the great things about Rush?? That different people can listen to the exact same song and come away with a completely different feeling about it? I happen to like Dog Years more the I Think I'm Going Bald (even though much of the lyrics are cringe-worthy). However, neither are their worst. That honor goes to the steaming pile of ---- called Rivendell. If that was the first Rush song I had ever heard, it would have also been the last. Disagree? That's fine...reread first two sentences. circumstantial tree
It helps me to know that Caress of Steel is a better album than Test for Echo, so you know that "I think I'm Goin' Bald" is the one I like better. Geddy channels Janis Joplin in that song.

tontonfranck
I don't want to be the groupie of the day but I think both are cool. What is the problem about that 2 songs? I can't understand so I suppose it's about their lyrics (I must admit I don't know anything about Rush lyrics)

Silas Lang
I think they're both pretty damn good and nowhere close to the bottom of all Rush songs. I like them both more than half the stuff on S&A, Roll The Bones or Presto and several others too.
