tangy
lets see................ Alex. steve vai. passion and warfare was an eyeopener and i have been a fan since. his last release with a orchestra is amazing. ed wynne. leader of ozric tentacles. he also would make my top keyboardist list too. supposedly can't read music. insane. buckethead. probably the most versatile player IMO. funky, funky. larry carlton. particularly for solo work on steely dans - the royal scam. kid charlamagne= steven wilson. what can i say? the man. tosin abasi- animals as leaders is the shit. if i could recommend only one up and coming guitarists it would be him. amazing skills and i think their first disc is the biggest breakthorough in instrumental guitar record since vais passion and warfare. RUSHHEAD666
You guys are all messed up man yet it makes total sense! It blows my mind that there are almost 400 views on this cliche cool thread yet no one has the class or balls to mention DAVE MENIKETTI. Must be some sort of West Coast Curse bullshit. If you guys ever listen to "I Believe In You" live it will melt your fukking heart and inflate your soul. Meniketti is easily TOP FIVE. I love a lot of you guys on here believe it or not, but I think progressive rock has brainwashed a lot of you. If you don't fall in love with this 1982 Pink Pop Festival clip then I have no faith in this Forum. Brings a tear to my eye to be serious for a second. Everyone always says that Alex Lifeson is so damn underrated, well in my mind Dave Meniketti takes the cake for that lame ass label! JMO!
