He actually taught and showed her a lot of things. Shiela's Dad played on several of Billy's albums. Her last name is Escovedo. She really played great. I am not surprised. For what it's worth, she is much better than a lot of the so-called "greats" out there; Portnoy being one. Second, she knows more about and can play Latin much better than Neil ever could or can. Hmmm...So I guess that mean's Neil's performance will be live??? Going by a first-person account of someone who attended the taping (RIAB link) Neil taped his solo in front of the audience earlier in the week. During that performance he dropped a stick twice, so after the show was over he did the solo again, and I think the audience was still there for that second take. So I'm guessing what we'll see tonight will either be the second take (if the audience was still there), or the first take with the sections where he dropped the stick edited out and replaced with footage from the second take.
