I'm not even going to ask who Billy Squier is - I know I'd only regret it...

ph34r.gif

He also has this song. Hmmm...

Billy Squier

"The Stroke "

Now everybody have you heard

If you're in the game, then the strokes the word

Dont take no rhythm, dont take no style

Got a thirst for killin, grab your vial and ...

Put your right hand out, give a firm hand-shake

Talk to me about that one big break...

Spread your ear-pollution both far and wide...

Keep your contributions by your side and stroke me, stroke me

Could be a winner boy, you move quite well...

Stroke me, stroke me...

Stroke me, stroke me...

You got your number down...

Stroke me, stroke me...

Stroke me, stroke me...

Say youre a winner but man youre just a sinner now

Put your left foot out keep it all in place...

Work your way right into my face

First you try to bed me you make my backbone slide

But when you found you bled me, skip on by... keep on

stroke me, stroke me

Give me the business all night long

Stroke me, stroke me (stroke)

Stroke me, stroke me

Youre so together boy...

Stroke me, stroke me

Say youre a winner but man youre just a sinner now

Stroke, stroke, stroke, stroke, stroke, stroke, stroke

Better listen now said it aint no joke

Let your conscience fail ya, just do the stroke

Dontcha take no chances keep your eye on top

Do your fancy dances you cant stop you just stroke me, stroke me

Stroke, stroke

Stroke me, stroke me

Stroke, stroke

Stroke me, stroke me

Stroke, stroke

Stroke me, stroke me

Stroke

Do it.

Stroke me, stroke me.

Stroke

Stroke me, stroke me.

Come on, stroke

Stroke me, stroke me.

Stroke me, stroke me.

Say youre a winner but man youre just a sinner now...

I didn't know it that it would be Billy Squier, but as soon as I saw his name, this video came back to me like a bad dream.

yup, same here!

i used to love billy squier. i saw him twice back in the day, once even with def leppard as his opening group! ohmy.gif

i do remember this video though. it made me embarrassed to be a fan. talk about jumping the shark...

from wiki:

QUOTE
Two years passed before Squier's next album Signs of Life. It was his third consecutive Platinum album. The album's first single release, "Rock Me Tonite" was Squier's biggest Pop hit. It reached #15 on Billboard's Hot 100, as well as #1 on the Album Rock Tracks chart in late 1984. However, the video for the track (directed by Kenny Ortega - Xanadu, High School Musical) which shows Squier dancing around a bedroom in a pink tank top, frequently appears on "worst music video ever" lists. On the VH1 show Ultimate Albums (Def Leppard's "Pyromania" episode), Squier revealed that his career as a chart-topping rocker came to a rapid and sudden end with the release of the "Rock Me Tonite" video, derided by his fans who saw him as a sellout.

Seriously, I knew what the video would be before I clicked the link!  laugh.gif

laugh.gif But have you watched the entire thing recently?

Oh, God no! I watched about five seconds of it, enough to be convinced it was what I thought it was, and now I'll lock that back in the closet of my mind that you inadvertently opened, throw away the key and move a wall unit in front of the closet so I can forget again that it exists. unsure.gif
