Mr. Not
You know those kinds of movies where protagonists just can't get a break? And when the ending is far from justified? These kinds of movies frustrate me to no end! But I can't help but love to watch them repeatedly since there's some amazing, engaging factor in these kinds of films. What's the most frustrating movie you've ever seen? I know what mine is, but I won't name it just to see if anyone else brings it up (for fun). Presto-digitation
I like unconventional films. I don't necessarily like movies to be entirely logical and neatly tied up at the end. Nothing more intriguing than a film whose ending (or whose characters) make you think outside the box. Now the fine line there is that sometimes plot lines get lost up ones' ass and become some trick rather than being clever. Lynch's films bother me because they're really a bit TOO confusing for me. He's what I like taken to an extreme. A film like Inception or The Ghost Writer or Black Swan are wonderfully interesting/complex in ways that enhance the experience rather than merely confuse the viewer. (Maybe I'm just dumb and don't get Lynch, but more often than not he blows past clever and launches himself off the cliff...taking me with him.) ReRushed
I chose After Hours and Quick Change because the main characters are the victims of circumstances beyond their control. Their "plans" do not come to fruition because absurd people and situations impede their way. It's frustrating seeing them so frustrated. Oh yeah, add What About Bob?. barney_rebel
Passion of Christ - watching a dude get tortured for hours frustrated me The Road - depressing, and hours of more depressing Death and the Maiden - Sigourney Weaver spends hours interrogating and torturing this dude because he allegedly raped her when she was younger Arlington Road - Sad, sad ending and got really disappointed. Neat twist though Civiv Duty - same deal, felt so sorry for the main character
iluvgeddy05
Cold Mountain, probably because it was hyped up to be this great film and had many Oscar nominations tagged to it. The movies was downright awful and the ending was the worst ending I've ever seen in a film.
Stormtron
A.I. - Should've ended in the sea, but you know Spielberg. Throw some aliens in there. LotR: RotK - This is the end.....no, okay. This is the end, right? Surely this must be the end? OH YOU GOTTA BE f***ing KIDDING ME. Porn that keeps showing close-ups of dudes faces. Whyyyyy? CMWriter
I don't get why people think Inception is confusing. I understood it just fine. It was broken up and transitioned really well, so that as long as you pay attention you can never get lost. The plot was really quite genius; probably the best original movie I've seen in a LONG time. What a masterpiece. Agreed on the District 9 comment. So many people I know are like, "GREATEST MOVIE EVAR" and I just shake my head. The only thing I can really appreciate is how much they were able to do with such a limited budget and also the "realism" of the situation. But in terms of dialogue, actual plot, characters, I felt the film was very weak. So I guess the fans bug me more than the movie itself. (I was way peeved when it got an Oscar nom' and Star Trek didn't.)

I liked the idea of them hunting different species. Ok, this might be considered a 'classic'. Frustrating movies - One of my favorite movies of all time, but it is a little frustrating at the end. 'Castaway' ending - wtf? Does he meet up with the hot angel wing chick? Which road does he take? Ok, I know that not knowing the road he took made the point. But, I just wanted to know if he went to the girl's house and what was in that damn package!

barney_rebel
I find Something About Mary, Meet the Parents etc pretty frustrating. Though some funny parts, how often is the guy going to get shat on throughout the whole movie before he gets the girl? 40 Year Old Virgin was cool though. I'm over Ben Stiller as of about 5 years ago. It's the same movie pretty much every time. In fact, I only ever saw "Meet The Parents". While it was entertaining, I've had no interest in revisiting Focker & Co.
