I went to the porcupine tree website and looked in their tour section. They have a link to the venue site there. Once in the venue site I clicked on "buy tickets" and there it was. http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/trink39.gif

Don't be late for the show !!

A few years ago I treated my girl & her best g-freind to a trip to Vegas.

The main event was a Loverboy / Eddie Money show

It was my job to arrange everything, including VIP transport (ME) anywhere @ anytime. Those girls wanted to go & see everything & ended up LATE for the primary event, the concert ! I warned them hours before they needed to stop "Vegas-ing" & prepare to go to the show, But they didn't listen.

So I got them to Vegas 2 days in advance, only to be late to the show by 1/2 hour !

BTW we ended up hanging out with Matt Frenette, LB drummer after the show & until the wee hours before daylight. Being canadian, he & LB have crossed path's with RUSH many times. So all I ever tried to get out of Matt was any Rush stories, he had a few. Fun night & the Girls had a weekend to remember.

Airline ticket in hand! Touch and go there on using the free voucher, but managed to find a flight from a nearby airport. Nothing available out of Cleveland with the damn restrictions!. They wanted me to arrive Saturday evening at 9:30 PM! So I'm set for arriving 9:30 AM on Friday morning. PT Friday night for sure!!

well, I finalized my plane tix this morning from SLC to Vegas. I will being landing shortly after 2 on Friday, so I'll have enough time to check in and freshen up before I consider going over to the Hard Rock for the C&C /PT show. We'll see how it shakes out. Otherwise, I'll just have to find some other out of town fans and hang out until the mini-con on saturday.

Can't wait. Should be awesome!

Hey, enjoy PT. I won't be arriving until Saturday.

I might go to the Primus show - if my ears can still handle it after Rush. http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I'm not sure if I should make too much of this.. but after Pedro and the Pedro spawn came home the other night from the cancelled chicago show, Mrs. Pedro was on the computer looking at costs for flights and hotels to Vegas over the 8/14 weekend...

I didn't mean I'll be staying there for 2 weeks until the show. No, I'll be there for a week...then LEAVE 2 weeks before the show.

Well maybe you will hit it big & decide to stay for the

http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/2.gif concert.

Talk about canceled shows . . . . . . . . . . . . .

1999 I was in Vegas for 10 days, 5 full days before Peter Frampton was to play INSIDE Mandalay Bay Casino,

In the House of Blues venue.

That July morning a huge thunderstorm descended upon Vegas going from west to east across the city. Since the mountains are to the west, the storm dump tons & as all the washes filled they basically followed the "perfect" storm down the mountain & Vegas flooded. Worst flash flood ever. Sahara Blvd was a 3 foot deep river flowing 25mph piling up cars like they were toys. I was eye witness to lots & even more of the aftermath. Being from Phoenix I have seen some massive summer storms. This was the worst due to the cucumstances of how it hit. If any one has been their & seen the Bellagio fountains. Think about the water level of that small lake, remember the show, Imagine the water level 15 feet higher. Just south, Caesars Palace forum shops were completely under water. They have since relocated them from below grade to elevated ground floor site.

Well the storm was so severe it damaged the interior of MB & the House of Blues they had to CANCELL Peter Frampton. So even freak things can happen, any where any time

Just realized that this date (August 14th) will be the 36th anniversary of Neil's first show with Alex and Geddy. August 14th, 1974 Pittsburgh's Civic Center Arena.
