I understand that alot of people have this weird hate-on for Sammy and his years with VH, but they wrote some great stuff during that period, and to have the official VH website keep anything from the Hagar era off of the site is so utterly ridiculous that words cannot describe it. He is very approachable and loves his fans dearly. He will sign autographs for anyone who comes up to him, especially by his bus! Take it from me guys! I told you my Neil Peart story. We parked right next to his bus backstage for the VT Tour. Walked right by his motorcycles and were heading to the show when the bus door opened up. It was NEIL! I turned around and walked right up to him. He got back on his bus and shut the door! I just wanted to tell him that I've been playing drums for 25 years thanks to him. Nope, he wanted nothing to do with me. I don't blame him though....... "I can't pretend a stranger is a long awaited friend." So cliche, yet so damn true. Yeah Neil blows off his fans because he is such a humble, gentle man. Glad I was able to pay for some of his BMW motorcycle over the years.
