ProgRocker
Different Stages. That album was one of the first Rush albums I heard, and I still love it.

Brandon223
Hey everyone. First post. But, I believe the absolute BEST Rush live album is Black Forest. Full version of 2112. Great version of Closer to the Heart. And Cygnus X-1 Book II: Hemispheres. You truly can't beat a live version of Hemispheres. I don't know where you can buy this CD though. rushbass
Different Stages - mainly for the Hammersmith Odeon 1977 disc... this is proof that they have a vault full of archived shows! I hope that they will release a box set of live shows in the future! I would love for the "Black Forest" boot to come out as an official release... there are other killer shows as well. rushbass
QUOTE (Brandon223 @ Jun 22 2007, 12:08 AM) Hey everyone. First post. But, I believe the absolute BEST Rush live album is Black Forest. Full version of 2112. Great version of Closer to the Heart. And Cygnus X-1 Book II: Hemispheres. You truly can't beat a live version of Hemispheres. I don't know where you can buy this CD though. This is a great 1st post! Welcome aboard! I couldn't agree with you more... this great quality soundboard boot shows them at the top of their game performance-wise, and totally defines them in the 1970's era! BTW Brandon223, it is my favorite show too!
leonardinez
Exit Stage left is my favorite, it was my first record of Rush taped 23 years ago !!! Now I almost have all their CD's, only the S & A, 2112 and Live in Rio missing.

ghost of a chance
Rush in Rio-includes many favorite songs from all the periods of the band. I also have the original DVD-it's great, the quality is great, the documentaries are great...the washing machines are funny ...the videoscreens and the effects and the sound...but I also like the atmosphere of Show of hands-that's why it's difficult to choose
yyz311
Exit Stage Left for it's great version of La Villa Strangiato and Jacob's Ladder.
AnalogAlex
My favorite is probably diffent stages. because theres sooo much stuff on there and also because it's full of rare stuff(fly by night, 2112, analog kid) Great album.. if it only had a passage to bangkok it would be perfect . PloKoon13
Rush just keep getting better live with age... And in Rio they play a shedload of their classics and the stuff from Vapor Trails is really well done, so it has to be RiR.
