troutman Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 QUOTE (slacker @ Jun 11 2005, 05:47 AM)All the Worlds a Stage
boz69 Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 all are great, but ATWAS was the first 8 track of i ever heard !!!
Cygnus_X1 Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 ATWAS by far! The first live album I bought and still remains my favorite. The other releases just dont have that raw and frantic sound that's burried within this recording
Slaine mac Roth Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 I've gone with Different Stages, the reasons for which I've gone into in some depth elsewhere (but I can't be bothered looking for the link - idle git that I am). As for ESL, I've just listened to the Exit...Stage Right boot for the first time in a while - that's what ESL should have sounded like.
vital signz Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 Was a toss up between Different Stages and RIR....Had to go with RIR because of the crowd.....There was a lot of love and appreciation audible in the mix and it gets me even more emotionally involved with each listen....
Father Brown Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 (edited) My order Different Stages All The World's Rush In Rio Exit Stage Left A Sow of Hands because ESL and ASH are "improved in studio" with overdubs and stuff Edited July 15, 2005 by Father Brown
Mr_Crunch Posted July 21, 2005 Posted July 21, 2005 All The World's A Stage - I just love the version of By-Tor. Different Stages is a close second.
liquidcrystalcompass Posted July 21, 2005 Posted July 21, 2005 Rush in Rio tied with Different Strings.
Mongo Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 Rush in Rio simply for the live version of The Pass and Earthshine.
geddy alex peart Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 exit stage left http://67.15.181.134/4341/168/upload/p563505.jpg
liquidcrystalcompass Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 QUOTE (Mongo @ Aug 11 2005, 10:25 PM) Rush in Rio simply for the live version of The Pass and Earthshine. Yep er u r righ uh huh...... Seriously, it's a great DVD
different strings Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 Hey Liquid dont you mean DIFFERENT STAGES haha great live album but for mine it is RIR seeing all the happy smiley faces and THE PASS ghostrider LIVE as well
peifer21 Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 different stages for me, i really like the 3rd disc.
plodder Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 It has to be "A SHOW OF HANDS" 'cos I was at the concert that was recorded.
ES-335 Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 ESL for me ... mainly because it is the one I have listened to the most. I like them all.
UltimoGuitarist Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 QUOTE (Spike @ Jan 21 2005, 11:07 PM) Mine used to be ESL. Now it's RIR. The mixing s*cks on it - but I like the newer music (heavier, more bass!), so I keep listening to RiR. Silly girl. The bass in all of the pre 1990 albums was much more complicated and interesting back then then now. Geddy pretty much just does straight forward boring stuff nowadays because he seems to focus on his vocals a bit more. The only reason you find the bass heavier now is because of production and quality of recording today. If they had the technology back then, i'm sure geddy would have been just as heavy/heavier back in the early days as well.
xredsectorx Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 mine would have to be Exit Stage Left it's right full of sweet tunes!! and it was the first live album i bought.
The Hippy Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 It's Rush in Rio all the way...but there's a new one coming out soon which will kick but because it's the only one I went to.
