ladirushfan80 Posted August 25, 2007 Share Posted August 25, 2007 ok... so the beginning of what has been referred to as "ladicon" has begun! altho i don't feel that this "con" will even come close to comparing to some of the others that *I* have had the honor of attending....but it's a party, so YAY!!! my brother Ken (ya...i KNOW! Another KEN...ack!) came into town this weekend... so he went with me to go pick up Necro & CeeJ from the airport... their flight came in at 7:40 am... (they'll give their account of that later i suspect) and from the airport straight to The Big House !! for those NOT in the know, The Big House is the University of Michigan football stadium. Necro, also for those not in the know, is a HUGE Michigan college football fan. We were lucky enough to find out that U of M stadium was having their Football Fan Day today!!! open to the public, it allows you to not only get into the stadium, but you can meet the team and the coaches... Necro & my brother (also a HUGE UofM fan)...both in their glory... loved every minute of this... despite the ocassional drops of rain... so, we went and did that... for a couple hours. left, went to my hood, got some food, and now, we're here @ my house! ok, so Necro and Ceej, EXHAUSTED from their travels, are taking a little power snooze before the party begins later today. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v415/amandaladi/shhhh.gif since they are sleepin, i took it upon myself to upload the pictures from his camera... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v415/amandaladi/plottingsmilie.gif here's a couple of pictures.....i don't want to post a bunch, cuz i want them to be able to post some and bring in ther "View" of thier trip here... the beginning of ladicon has now begun.... here is the U of M arch... there the players and the U of M marching band enter the football field..... Necromancer Posted August 25, 2007 Share Posted August 25, 2007 We just woke up and are getting ready to party MICHIGAN STYLE. Ummm... i'm not sure what that means, but it sounds cool. Today at THE BIG HOUSE, had to be my all-time favorite moment in my life of sports. Other than personal moments with my kids, NOTHING I've ever done can equal this. I thought seeing the Red Sox pound the Yankees at Yankee Stadium once was pretty cool, but THIS was just awesome. Actually STANDING on the 50 yard line, inside that huge M, had my heart beating like a drum. You have to understand all the history of that stadium. I got a lot of pics of all the players and legendary coach, Lloyd Carr. We'll get aroudn to posting MANY more pics later, but I have to prepare myself for the massive amount of drinking I plan on doing tonight with Ladi and her gang, Digi, Sunny, Chaotica and BLONDE. Oh man... I'm so stoked that we'll be meeting FOUR MORE members of this awesome place. I can't wait. They should be here soon. I can't thank Amanda and her brother, Ken, enough for today. He also missed the hottest, most humid NEPA day today, 97 in Philly, 90+ and HUMONGOUS humidity when I left NEPA. My fav photo has to be Necro in the end zone in front of the scoreboard! WOW.
