  1. :rose: Happy TRF Anniversary, blueschica :rose: It seems to me like you've been here longer :rush: Always enjoy your posts....even though i don't come here too much!
  2. Hi Rhyta :hi: I'm late, but I wish you a Happy TRF Anniversary! You're always so nice and I think if we knew each other in real life we'd be good friends.
  3. Happy Belated Birthday, I hope you had a good day!!! :rose:
  4. Happy Belated Birthday to you! I hope everything's going well for you and your family. All the best in the coming year.....
  5. Thanks for the feedback. I really don't know if that would make things worse, I really want to see them but I think if I just go for the gift exchange that would be difficult. We have been averaging 3,000 new cases for several days and had a record high death count today. Our ICU's are pretty slammed. The thing about my SIL is she is on oxygen and spent 5 months in rehab unit this year with a severe case of pneumonia and she is the one giving me the most grief. I don't get her hostility, it's like it is personal with her and now her daughter is acting the same way. No compromise, we have had such a bad year so we are entitled to a nice Christmas and so on. I am thinking I will have to stay home even if hubby goes. Then I will have to quarantine myself for at least a week and wear a mask around the house. I am hoping he will back me up and stay home but think he will feel guilty if he doesn't go. :| Hello Rhyta, my friend, I hope things worked out for you!
  6. I've got you beat...I put mine up before Thanksgiving this year...just a few days and I'll keep mine up too till Three Kings Day on the 6th...take it down after that. It's been a tradition in our family and I always do that. Plus, i love putting it up and all the other stuff. It's so pretty to look at.
  7. I wanted to drop in and say Happy New Year to all of you. :cosmo: :hail: :d13:  :coffee: :martini: :digi: something for everyone, take your pick :)
  8. Happy Anniversary to you, librarian if you don't drink then here you go :d13: :7up:
  9. A genius and an artist. Yes, he was. RIP :rose:
  10. So sorry you're going through this plus all of the emotions....I get the anger, feeling betrayed and sad. It's a whirlwind of emotions. And, yes, a punch in the face too is what I'd want to do too....be friends and hang out....yeah right. You have my empathy. I hate when people say oh hang in there, so I wont! You need time to feel and heal. And, you will!!!!!
  11. Awwww....your mom looks great! You can never have too many candles! Lovin' the leaf blower...LOL Happy Birthday to your mom and many more :rose: :rose:
  12. Wishing you a very happy and much belated birthday, blueschica! I hope you had a special day and you have my best wishes for this coming year and many more.... :rush:  :) :yay: :cheerleader:
  13. Happy Birthday to you, kind sir. I don't come here much anymore, but I'm very happy I did and get to wish you a great day. I always thought of you as one of the few gentlemen left in this world......or that I know of...LOL Have a very Happy Birthday and best wishes to you, always! :)
  14. Thanks Daylin, I've been good. How have you been? How's everything over where you are with the pandemic and whatnot? :ebert:   Glad to hear you're doing good! I'm doing good. It was very bad here for awhile and it seemed to get better, but now, it's going up a bit again. I say all those protests and people standing side by side made the numbers go up again. Plus, when you reopen bars and restaurants it's bound to go up. I just wear my mask and wash hands and wipe stuff down. I try to social distance, but you can easily walk into the grocery store and be exposed. What can you do though. Last month I went to the pharmacy and was in line and the person behind me was closer then they should have been and had on no mask and was coughing that I felt the back of my hair move....ewwwww. So, how is by you? Well I've hardly been out for the last 4 months so I don't know exactly. I've avoided all the craziness with stampedes at the Supernarket and whatnot. It seems pretty normal, it's not like people are dropping like flies. I don't know, I'm ok that's all I can say! The only thing I've had lately is a bit of hay fever but that's normal for me. So your area is doing pretty well now apart from a slight surge recently? How do you feel yourself? That's good you're avoiding the supermarkets. I've noticed so many things are higher priced then usual too. It seems to be alright where I'm at, but when I look at the numbers there are a lot of confirmed cases, so I just go where I have to and take precautions. Like you, I have hay fever and sometimes my allergies have been acting up, but that's all. My neighbor is a nurse and she works on the covid floor of hospital. She says there's been a big drop in the number of patients, so that's always good to hear. Take care, treeduck. It was nice catching up with you :) Yeah maybe the whole thing will gradually clear up. You too Daylin, take care. I'm back....lol treeduck, a few days after I wrote that things were getting better around here the numbers went up and I thought of you and what I had written. I've noticed that some people take this very seriously and some just go about their business, without a mask, which is mandatory here. So, I had to pop in and let you know. I think I'm in the middle, because I wear a mask, sanitize and just try to be careful. I do go to a beautiful forest with hiking trails just to get out and take my doggie with me. She loves to hike. I feel better outdoors, but still when I pass someone I'll pull up my mask, or turn my head the other way. I mean, it's just common sense. I go to a Farmers Market where they social distance and wear masks, plus I go to the grocery and pharmacy and if I have to get some clothes and such I go too. But, I don't feel comfortable eating indoors anywhere yet. Some don't care, but I would rather not. Outside is fine, and I did a few times already. But, I can't see how people can go to bars and be so close and not wear masks. So, I finally had a chance to pop in and tell you. I mean, live your life, but use common sense. :) Welcome back again Daylin! Yeah you just need to use your own judgement and go with your instincts, within the rules. How's the situation over there now. My area got a new special lockdown a few days ago. So we're back to square one! Locked down tight! What kind of dog have you got? And what's her name? I used to have one back in the day, a border terrier called Tina. Here's a pic of her: Oh no. It must be bad if you're back to square one. I didn't know. It's not moving forward here yet to the next phase and it might go back if it keeps going up. So many schools are doing remote learning this coming fall season too. I have a beagle. I got her from a rescue and I just love her. She loves to hunt though....lol...I'm not a hunter...lol She's gotten a few chipmunks though and once I left her on her own in the yard and she got a squirrel. It's in her blood, so what can you do. Her name is Baby T. That was her name that the man from the rescue gave her and I kept it. I also call her Talula. That takes care of the T....lol I got her in 2014 and she was almost one year then, But, they don't know for sure because she was pulled from a shelter and was said to be found as a stray. Your dog was a cutie pie! Stay safe!!!! Yeah it's the whole Greater Manchester Area and a few other surrounding districts. It won't be so bad if they get things under control again, although I'm not exactly sure how they figure these things out. Schools are supposedly opening here in September but I'm not sure how that fits in with the new lockdown. That's cool, Beagles are interesting dogs. Tina was always going sniffing around searching for animals too. Border terriers were originally bred to hunt rats and she did find a few of those over the years, but she mainly chased next door's cat! She was funny! I used to feed her before I had my dinner and she'd leave her dinner and come over to me or follow me upstairs, to sit up and beg for some of mine. Once she got some tasty morsels then she'd eat her own dinner! :D You too! I don't know, ducky how things will get back under control, but I pray it does for you. Funny about Tina and chasing next doors cat. My beagle was horrible to my cat. Chester for a whole year! I've had Chester for almost 12 years now and he came in my garden as a baby kitten and I took him in. He lived with my beagle before Baby T and they got along so well. I could see when Rodger/the first beagle passed away Chester was in depression...no kidding, so I got Baby T....It was a challenge for the first year, but they're okay now, except she chases him, but he learned how to hold his own. I was a nervous wreck the first year because Chester was hiding and it was awful, but I held on and it's all good now,...lol I'm laughing at your story about feeding Tina before her dinner. She knew....they are smart :laughing guy: We'll be fine in the end, thanks Daylin. Hopefully your area will be back to normal soon as well. Sounds like your house is Beagle Central! :D As well as getting up on her hind legs and begging Tina used to make this buzzing/squeaking noise in her throat which meant "Why are you eating that food instead of giving it all to me??" Ha ha ha....Tina sure sounds like she knew what she wanted! Quite the characters. If you're feeling down or mad at something/someone our four legged friends are sure to make us laugh and bring a smile to our face. Have you ever thought of getting another one? Animals are funny for sure. Yeah I considered it but she was a one-off and she was 18 and half when she died. I've just not liked the idea of replacing her really. How old is your beagle? I get it about how hard it is after you've had a dog that you loved for all those years, and I've went through the hurt too. More than once, but I need a dog in my life that needs someone and I know it's a personal feeling for everyone, but I love every one of them in a special way and I know I'll hurt again, but I try not to think about that and I know I'll keep adopting from this rescue. On a happier note.....lol.... My beagle is about 7ish now. The rescue didn't know because they pulled her from a high kill shelter and the vet said she was about a year old and that was in 2014. Stay safe and healthy! :)

  21. It was nice catching up with you :)
  22. see above...I don't know I can't edit a post right...LOL
