Well, I did it. I killed a 9 year-old thread that was originally started by me. All because I found it funny and ironic to be told what the rules were... And then waiting a month for the captions to be judged. Goodbye, Caption A Random Image...it was fun at one time.

No doubt Tick and Ducky would shine in a swimsuit competition, but how would they look in evening gowns? I feel a photoshopping coming on....

You didn't come off as harsh, I was just laughing at the irony of me not following the rules. That was the rule I put in place almost 9 YEARS AGO when I started this game here at TRF. I started this game years ago with every intention of it being something silly and ridiculous. It was intended to be enjoyed by people who laugh at stupid things like Benny Hill. It's a crazy success, because it's in it's 3rd incarnation and just keeps going. Some of us like simple laughs because that's what we like. It's not a commentary on our intelligence, it's just mindless humor. Like the 3 stooges, that's all it was ever meant to be. There have also been offshoots of the game that were titled "battle of the halfwits". Most poeple understand the intent is not to be intelligent humor, but instead, basically funny or inane, and nothing more. Why was it turned into a "contest"? So I wouldn't have to be in charge of it every day. We all have lives and to tie myself to a single thread on a single board would be boring for me in a few months, and boring for everyone else in a few days. That aspect was only included so the game could self-propegate. Or continue on it's own, if you don't know what that means. I question the intent of someone who doesn't get it to the point of starting a bunch of drama because the winning captions are beneath them in intelligence. No one here needs to defend their sense of humor. Just move on if it's not for you.
