grep Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Oh wow. RIP. Time to raise a glass and watch some 1984 Dune. 1
chemistry1973 Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Brutal. Very sad news. That first season of Twin Peaks was phenomenal. Mulholland Drive too. 3

zepphead Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I just read this on the BBC site. Very sad. A one of a kind director. RIP David. 1
Stormtron Posted January 16 Posted January 16 My favorite director of all-time and one of my favorite artists period. RIP. 3
HemiBeers Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Twin Peaks was a trippy masterpiece. Audrey kept me watching every week. The other gals were top notch eye candy as well. But I digress. RIP 4

jacobsbladder Posted January 18 Posted January 18 I've got his G rated Disney film The Straight Story queued up for my watching tribute. And yesterday I listened to most of his Crazy Clown Time cd - a little bit of extreme divorce anger, some TM Mantras and dental hygiene tips. His body of work will influence art for many more decades. 1
lerxt1990 Posted January 19 Posted January 19 I was not a huge fan of all of his stuff, but found it all interesting. I saw a wonderful documentary on him, sorry if it was already mentioned, and what I admired was his truly artistic nature, spirit and mentality, in many forms of art. It was inspiring to be honest. 2

RIP He'd been in declining health for the past year from what I've read so I wasn't TOO surprised. Worth noting that Wild at Heart brought Wicked Game back as a re released single for Chris Isaak and it worked. It went to number 6 in the US and number one on MTV Top 20 Video Countdown. The original video before one of the sexiest videos ever.
treeduck Posted January 22 Posted January 22 His younger brother George is upset about this as well, as is his Irish actor cousin John.
