Ironically, he wouldn't have probably been considered for darker roles later on if it weren't for that incident. He was really good in a dramatic supporting role in Blow. That VMA appearance where Losing My Religion basically owned the categories with Stipe's ever changing shirts was a great reaction to it, though. "Heard any good jokes lately? Oh, you mean that time in the Sarasota adult theater when the cops caught him allegedly beating his meat (pled no contest to indecent exposure), or the supposed kiddy porn found in his collection of erotica (pled guilty to obscenity charge, kid porn charge dropped)? Yes, that is what I mean. Reubens reportedly had lots of old, vintage erotica and kitsch art, muscle mags, and nude teen photos. It's unknown if he had any young child porn.
