zepphead Posted May 22, 2023 Posted May 22, 2023 I have just had my first listen to this. First impression is that it is not bad. The epic title track is pretty impressive. 5
bluefox4000 Posted May 22, 2023 Posted May 22, 2023 (edited) Last Night Jackson Browne The Naked Ride Home (9/10) Time The Conqueror (8/10) Standing in the Breach (8/10) I used to dismiss later Jackson as too political and it IS in some spots but their are gems sprinkled throughout all three albums you could make one Fantastic album from. My fav song is Walls and Doors from Standing in the Breach. that song is as good as anything he wrote in the 70's. Mick Edited May 22, 2023 by bluefox4000 1

custom55 Posted May 22, 2023 Posted May 22, 2023 (edited) I was at this show and this is the first bootleg worth hearing. Fireworks at a concert were a "thing" back then and they sucked. Edited May 22, 2023 by custom55 1

Rankings all always subjective but I would rank the four you mentioned in order of preference - Going For The One, Drama, 90125, Union. As for the new one - it's difficult to rank the later Yes stuff against earlier output but, it is no worse than Union. 2
bluefox4000 Posted May 23, 2023 Posted May 23, 2023 Jackson Browne-The Pretender (10/10) Been loving this style again. Fogelberg is great but i put Jackson's 70's run up there too. Acctually right up to 1980's Hold On. Such gorgeous stuff and The Pretender is my fav. Mick 1

Union 5-3992 Posted May 23, 2023 Posted May 23, 2023 Les Stroud - Mother Earth The dude from Survivorman wrote an album. It's cheesy as hell, but still quite decent.
