A thread for the presumably fast-approaching new Guns 'N' Roses album, and it's lead singles.

Hey so GNR have put out a new single today and.... I really like it. It reminds me of Perfect Crime or Back Off B**** from UYI 1. I didn't mind the last single, but it was kinda not really their style? Anyway if these singles are indicative of a full length album I think it might be worth discussing, so here's an official thread for what is still one of the most contentious bands of the rock era.

New single here:

I remember when Chinese Democracy was fast approaching... for 14 years. You`ll be a partner of a major architectural firm by the time a new record comes out.

I used to call Chinese Democracy 'Duke Nukem Forever' - because the development of both went on forever and ever, in the same timeframe.

I hope so!

But I also hope it comes out quickly.

That song is much better than the other one they released. I'm guessing we won't have to wait as long for this album as we did for Chinese Democracy. I think with Slash and Duff back they will motivate Axl to get things done quicker. With Chinese Democracy, Axl was just left on his own and took all the time he wanted. Axl seems to have matured as he's gotten older and selfish behavior like taking 14 years to release a new album doesn't seem like something he would do at this point. Plus, he turns 60 next year. I doubt he would want to wait so long for another album.

On the bright side, we got a free Dr. Pepper.

Not in the UK we didn't!

It’s going to be an EP. The 2 new tunes will be on there with 2 live tracks.

Dang really? .... laaaaaaaaaammmmmeeee.

Unless the two live tracks are two 10+ minute newly written epics...

Funnily enough, next year (2022) will be 14 years since the release of Chinese Democracy in 2008.

I like "Hard Skool" a lot. Didn't like "Absurd" at all--hated it when it was called "Silk Worms" back in the day, hate it slightly less now but don't think it's that good.

I do wish the current lineup would actually get in a room and write new music, rather than what these songs are which is Slash and Duff recording parts for songs Axl has had lying around for 20 years.
