Black Crowes. Still waiting to get the eventual news that the 30th anniversary tour will be postponed/cancelled.

Oh, and Mekong Delta had a great album this year, Kaleidoscope.

1990 is the greatest year of all time.

Why?

I was born!

Gary Moore’s stellar Still Got The Blues for me. Empire follows a distant second.

Gary Moore and his song 'Empty Rooms' is the reason Peter Collins got the job to produce Power Windows and beyond.

Also, Eric Clapton recorded 'Still Got The Blues' for his album Old Sock.

Listened a lot to Razor's Edge and Ritual de lo Habitual but the Black Crowes record was my favorite that year.

Wasn't there a good King's X release that year also? Faith, Hope, Love? I liked that one a lot also.

Looks like I missed that one.

I wish I felt the same way about my birth year. 1998 is so dull.

Some great gothic metal coming out around that time.

Then I guess I'll have to wait till I get into gothic metal someday before my 1998 becomes less dull to me.

Have you ever heard The Chemical Wedding from Bruce Dickinson? Anthrax had a new album that year. Nightfall In Middle Eart from Blind Guardian is worth checking out. So is Something Wicked This Way Comes by Iced Earth.

Megadeth is looking good in this one. I'm surprised there's no votes for Dio or Priest yet.

I'm not surprised about Dio. It's a good album but also a transitional one for him that largely went unnoticed. I'm surprised that Priest doesn't have any votes but I think it shows how highly people think of Rust In Peace and that's getting the nod over Painkiller.

I really like Rust in Peace a lot but it's not quite got my vote here. I was saying the other day that Painkiller wasn't in my top 10 Priest albums which is true, but it IS my favourite album from 1990.
