More Beatles:

"I'm Down" b-side to "Help!"

"Rain" b-side to "Paperback Writer"

"Don't Let Me Down" b-side to "Get Back"

"I Am the Walrus" b-side to "Hello, Goodbye"

"You Know My Name (Look Up The Number)", b-side to Let It Be, their final single.

Silly, silly song.

Springsteen's Pink Cadillac (b-side to Dancing in the Dark) became a moderate hit in it's own right. One of my fav songs from Bruce.

Adam and the Ants - Beat My Guest

I remember modest radio play of this b-side back in high school, and it was huge with fans of the Ants

U2's Sweetest Thing was originally released in 1987 as the b-side of Where the Streets Have No Name. It became a big hit in 1998 as part of the band's greatest hits release that year.

Maiden’s excellent cover of I’ve Got the Fire was the b-side to Flight of Icarus

I always liked their cover of Cross-Eyed Mary, too.

How about "Silver Springs", the Fleetwood Mac song left off the Rumours LP...

Stevie Knicks was furious that the rest of the band made the decision to leave the song off the album over her objections (not enough space). Personally, I far prefer it to Songbird or Oh Daddy (esp Oh Daddy), despite usually really liking C. McKvie's songs.

Also, Walk to the Water is a great b-side to With or Without You.

My three favorite b-sides that didn't appear on an LP (not already mentioned and not counting EP/extended singles tracks):

The Exploding Boy by The Cure (backed In Between Days)

All of Us by Big Country (backed In a Big Country)

Annex by OMD (backed Enola Gay)

Stevie Nicks is still bitter, as of course this was one of "her" songs. Mick Fleetwood explained it was just about the room on the side of an LP but if there was one record that needed no added tension , it was Rumours! :rage:

The Police - Friends (B-side of De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da)

The Police - Once Upon A Daydream (B-side of Synchronicity II - I think...)

Genesis - It's Yourself (B-side of Your Own Special Way, for one)

Genesis - Twilight Alehouse (B-side of I Know What I Like)

Genesis - You Might Recall (B-side of Paperlate...later showed up on Three Sides Live).

Asia - Daylight. The B side to Don't Cry. Did not appear on the Astra record... which was Asia's second record.

As alluded to above:

Grendel by Marillion. On the flipside of Market Square Heroes. Market Square Heroes is an A Side that never appeared on an original studio album release.
