North Dakota's rockinest rock-n-roll rocker? Gotta be this guy.

Why the accent, you ask? The ND town he was born in was German-speaking.

I think Chicago has pretty much every other Illinois act beat. Influence, popularity, importance, quality, innovation, sales, talent, prolificness, longetivity, legacy, lyricism, progginess, poppiness, tightness, greatness live and in the studio, versatility, melodic and harmonic sophistication and effectiveness, catchiness...

The only thing they’re really missing are creative album titles (unless you think Hot Streets is very creative).

His Sunday night show was appointment viewing back in the day.

Chicago was (is?) the Albert Pujols of rock, with the Peter Cetera dominated era being akin to Albert's time with the Angels.

Joe is from Montclair NJ too.

Actually, Joe was born in Witchita, Kansas and according to his biography, formed his first successful band, The James Gang at Kent State University in OHIO. i've always LOVED Joe Walsh! His riff on Rocky Mountain Way has touched me in a way that can't be untouched!

I think Oklahoma gets Garth Books. Even if you're not a country guy, it's hard to deny the cross genre appeal and musical influence Garth has had.

Who else is from there? Is it The Flaming Lips?
