barney_rebel
"Life is precious" ...we're the last words from an email from my uncle this afternoon. As some of you may remember from last winter, my Great Uncle, Jack is terminally ill. His family members have decided to take him off the feeding tube. He probably has less than a day to live. He will leave behind his wife, Joan. Below is a photo from my wedding almost 5 years ago to this day: http://www.bruceandtheresa.com/images/Wedding/jackjoan.jpg He gave an amazing speech on my wedding day describing my wife, Theresa. I've never met a person so passionate about hockey before. I said I was going to watch a game with him one day. May be one day I will. When I run on Sunday, I will be thinking of you Jack. I am thinking of you right now. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

ladirushfan80
Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away into the next room. I am I, you are you. Whatever we were to each other, that we still are. Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference in your tone, wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Pray, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without effect, without a trace of a shadow on it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same that it ever was; There is unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am waiting for you, for an interval, Some where very near.... Just around the corner. All is well
