  3. Paramore - All We Know Jimmy Eat World - Futures Death Cab For Cutie - Plans Copeland - Under Medicine Tree I liked the Copeland album! Very sweet and earnest, and the songs felt easy to sink into. A few interesting arrangements as well. I wouldn’t say they struck me as hard as Jimmy or Death Cab tend to though. The lyrics weren’t quite so poetic as that (that more as in Death Cab but Jimmy also when they want to be). What I definitely did notice is there are a ton of melodic similarities between this Copeland record and coincidentally that exact Paramore album. Idk if Paramore was listening to Copeland while they wrote their first record, but it wouldn’t shock me to find out they were. It’s not plagiarism, but it’s like they’re speaking the same language.

  11. I think you start hearing it at 3:40, and it's in and out for the rest of the solo. I've always wondered if they were repeating lyrics, like maybe "Reaching for the alien shore," etc. but I never really knew for sure.

  12. I adore Copeland but I can't quite put them as high as Jimmy or Death Cab. But I feel they deserve more recognition. I love the lyrics on Beneath Medicine Tree, but their strength is the frankness rather than the poetry. I find them more conversational, something I don't feel Jimmy had until Invented seven years later.

  15. It's not hard to believe at all. When you want to practice nudism outside of your home, do you go to a public place -- say, to a Rush concert at the Xcel Energy Center -- and walk around naked? Or do you go to a park or beach that's designated as a space for nudism?

  16. I can't stand either team, but the Padres executing a triple play in the bottom of the 9th to win the game was pretty cool. I can't stand them mostly because one of them will probably beat the Brewers in the playoffs....

  32. My guess is that you would have a better chance of booking bands if they don't have to strip down. If that's a requirement for you then you're probably going to continue to not get any interest. However, if all you want them to do is come and play for your community then that would probably give you a better chance.

  34. That's cool that he was able to intervene and help so much. Our news covered it this morning and said that Jon had undergone some kind of communication training way back when he opened his restaurant that employs the homeless. He wanted to be sure he had skills to talk to people outside the rock world. Looks like he got to use them again today- good job!
