I enjoy both eras equally. That might be a rarity in the fan base. But Sammy was a complete professional and respectful of the songs live. I can't say the same for Roth.4 points

I'm on a bit of a Journey kick so here we go. Not including the first 3 as that's not my style just perry and beyond 1. Evolution 2. Infinity 3. Raised on Radio 4. Departure 5. Escape 6. Trial by Fire 7. Frontiers 8. Arrival 9 . Revelation 10. Generations 11. Eclipse 12. Freedom I have to say i've heard a lot of folks say how much they like/love Freedom. that's great but i don't like it at all. not one bit i just find it so hollow and soul dead. And if you know the inner workings of this shit show. i don't think that's a false statement to make, lol Mick2 points

Warning, Nimrod, AI/21CB and Insomniac are my top five in that order2 points

The first one was terrible, but the second one was clearly an "eff you kid, for showing me up" call. That was pure spite.2 points

I think I prefer this one to American Idiot, honestly. I love both though. I'd say Insomniac is my favorite, this is my second, and American Idiot, Dookie, and Warning would make my top five, followed by Nimrod2 points

Lerxst … due to his versatility & constant evolution , especially circa ‘76-‘85 , is my No.1 favourite - Note: ‘favourite’, not necessarily from a technical point of view ‘the best’ - 🎸player2 points

I was so obsessed with this when I bought it upon release in 1985. 10/10, would listen to for another 37 years.2 points

Not that I have seen, no! I believe on that song and others that he uses that technique on, Hackett (or even sometimes Banks) will come in with a 2nd guitar so that it really gets to a point where you can't tell what is what. I also recall him talking about them pulling one of those songs out (Your Own Special Way) many years later after probably only playing it on the one tour...and he couldn't remember how he had tuned the guitar to accurately replicate it! 😂1 point
