Tombstone Mountain
Nice to read and see the pics. I think for the many of us who could not be there we imagined it was something like the way you wrote it up. On The Rush Forum, the predominant era of choice is basically the Terry Brown catalog. No doubt. I enjoy it like everyone else, but it was before my time. I had to go back in time to appreciate it after I cut my teeth on the synth era.I reflected on the Synth era as you wrote aboot it. In some ways we have something in common although I'm a few years older than you. Permanent Waves and Moving Pictures were magic as it was happening but they were turn table experiences. I wasn't old enough to get to a concert till Signals. Next was Grace Under Pressure, the Synth Era born, I was growing up with the band as they "matured". It was during the Synth Era that RUSH concerts became nearly annual pilgrimages. Maybe I place to much personal bias on the Synth Era over rating its significance but I felt it deserved more coverage on set one.I get that. My connection to the 70's was interesting. I really good friend of mine, who also happened to be my drummer, told me straight up that he couldn't listen to the synth era...said it was "unclean". He exposed me to 2112, Hemi, and AFTK's in ways that I didn't expect. Then we started playing some songs as covers and that's when my love for the TB era took off.

JohnnyBlaze
Tombstone, I was expecting some weird ass shit to happen but instead I simply read a thoughtful, personal Rush odyssey. Good stuff TM. P.S. I can understand where that Yosemite Sam comment was coming from.

Your_Lion
It seems that every edition of the YBG gets better and better, You expressed so beautifully what many of us felt as we were at what might possibly have been our last Rush show. As much as I will remember some great performances over the years it will be the fans that I will remember the most.Hey buddy...it was awesome...and once again, thanks for the ride to the airport. Meeting you was a highlight of my tour experiencehttp://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k210/RodrigoAltaf/IMG-20150720-WA0006_zpsvja7tzlm.jpgIs that Citizen? :hi: Great to put a face to the name, my Python quoting friend

HemiBeers
A little taste of the vibe I am eagerly awaiting the full-length production!Meeting Bubbles must haven been the kitten's pajamas, did Mike Smith show up? Of course when you finally meet J-Roc you'll be somebody! I would have gave anything (except sexual favors) to meet Bubbles. Loves me some TPB. One of my wireless routers has the network name of BubblesShed and the other (my backup) is Sunnyvale Trailer Park. I'm sure the neighbors in the subdivision are trying to figure out who the hell is BubblesShed?

Lorraine
Just stops at the edge of being too personal. I can't say it's my favorite YBG because this one isn't fantasy. It belongs to and starts another category altogether. Thank you for trusting us enough to bare a part of your soul.

Lorraine
I think Ged's Jeans old post has held the #1 spot as "most liked" long enough. Let's give first place to Tombstone's post. It deserves it. Even the TRF Peanut Gallery thinks so: http://www.sherv.net/cm/emoticons/hand-gestures/audience-clapping-smiley-emoticon.gifhttp://www.sherv.net/cm/emoticons/hand-gestures/audience-clapping-smiley-emoticon.gifhttp://www.sherv.net/cm/emoticons/hand-gestures/audience-clapping-smiley-emoticon.gifhttp://www.sherv.net/cm/emoticons/hand-gestures/audience-clapping-smiley-emoticon.gif Edited August 10, 2015 by Lorraine

Lorraine
August 1st already seems like a very long time ago. At least to me it does. I was going to mention it on Saturday. The LA concert had only been one week before, but already it seemed so long ago. Edited August 10, 2015 by Lorraine
Tombstone Mountain
Awesome writing, just awesome! Your story is your own and yet captures the special moments so many of us have had with the band and each other. Loved this! :notworthy: (And I'll bet you still miss that Datsun 260 Z!)It was pretty sweet. My car looked like this, except it had dark headlight covers. --BTW you are so welcome. Glad it resonated with so manyhttp://japanesenostalgiccar.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/datsun_240z.jpg
