Ok I don't think Myles is influenced by Gerard. But I would love to hear each vocalist cover a song from each band.

Black Parade was very classic rock inspired as is Alter Bridge. I can actually hear what you mean. A similar snarl and very polished production.

Both are very impassioned singers. Which in this day and age is very rare I find in US bands.

I was also listening to TBP earlier, lol. I agree there aren’t enough singers willing to put some risk and passion into their singing anymore. I’ve gotta say, if Myles didn’t have that theatrical passion in ever note, I wouldn’t have had a second thought about AB, and much the same for MCR.

Myles is amazing. Like...his voice is second to none and he and Cristina Scabbia (of Lacuna Coil) are easily my favourite singers of all time.

I remember the moment I fell for MCR. it was Hearing I don't love You.

that vocal.....it souunded like it was hurting Gerard to sing. but in the BEST way possible, lol. we need more of that. Still one of my fav vocals ever on that song.

I fell as soon as I heard the title track to TBP, lol, but Gerard was quick to impress once I got further in. Cancer has to be one of the best rock vocals post Nirvana.

He harmonizes really well with himself too, much like another singer I adore. ;)

I fell in love with MCR when Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge came out. The Black Parade left a bitter taste in my mouth when it came out but after about six/seven months I came to truly appreciate it for what it was: a band choosing wisely to push their limits to the max and write a bloody great rock album.

I can't choose between the two at all.

Gerard Way is an amazing singer. But the bands final album was a shocking disaster to my ears.

And yeah...Freddie Mercury still isn't a top singer to my ears. But I am finding him bearable. Something about him annoys me (not unlike Dennis DeYoung or Celine Dion). But I can hear why people rate him highly.

I've been playing Always on repeat.

Beyonce is a dubious honour as well. But I love her.

Michael Jackson and Madonna are high too (Madonnas vocals on Bedtime Stories and Ray Of Light are gorgeous to my ears).

And Mariah Carey, Lou Gramm, Springsteen, Brett Detar, Jim Adkins (Jimmy Eat World)...

The same for me with The Rolling Stones. My mom saw them live when she was eight months pregnant with me. She took a big chance there. I could have decided to pop out early at the show lol.
