Relayer2112
I had a dream just the other night that I was being followed by a man playing "She Blinded Me with Science" on an accordion. And I didn't even eat anything strange before going to bed. I'll put my mention of "The Golden Age of Wireless" as a result.
Rutlefan
One I missed... though not a big DP fan always loved this: The Sun and the Rainfall by Depeche Mode Should also add these to Procession: Everything's Gone Green & Ultraviolence by New Order Also this, though generally SP too abrasive/amelodic for my tastes: Love by Skinny Puppy And these: Cities in Dust by Siouxsie and the Banshees Tower of Strength by The Mission Walk to the Water & Luminous Times (Hold on to Love) by U2 Edited May 30, 2019 by Rutlefan
Lorraine
http://youtu.be/41P8UxneDJEThat was the only other song, next to Barracuda, that I liked by them. The song still makes me tear up too, even after all these years. Edited May 30, 2019 by Lorraine

GeddyRulz
I was in HS in the 80s, and it was the last decade of me listening to Top 40 radio (it's sucked ever since). I listened to Rush, but also all the New Wave 80s stuff that was so prevalent... on radio, MTV, and in the arcade at the shopping mall, a ticket to The Karate Kid in my pocket, obsessing over girls. The songs take me back there... West End Girls is a great song. Love the intro. There's a couple awesome ones which people won't know by title/artist, but they'd recognize if they heard it. "Positively Lost Me" was played in Pretty in Pink, by the band in the club that Molly Ringwald went to. "Whisper to a Scream" - find it on YouTube, play it, and thank me later. "Holy shit, I've heard this song! It's freakin awesome!"
JohnnyBlaze
My favorite 80s song: One of the catchiest first few seconds of any song ever, and it’s not even the chorus (most songs that pull off super catchy starts begin with the chorus...or a riff). That whole album is great. One of my favorite debuts of all time that’s on the short list with Living Colour and Boston’s firsts.
JohnnyBlaze
Too many to list from R.E.M. in the 80s...though I don’t think of their stuff that decade as “80s music”

custom55
I was working 80+ hours a week in the 80's so I had little time for music, concerts and basically, a personal life. To me, the 80's were the following bands. Not that they formed in the 80's, but these are the bands I followed.U2The PretendersVan HalenTom Petty and the Heartbreakers Edited May 31, 2019 by custom55
