I just pull heavy ones out of the 3 for 25 cent jar. Old credit cards work pretty well too. The raised numbers give you a little better grip.

Narps
I have a pick somewhere (in the attic) courtesy of Glenn Tipton circa 1979. My only time in the front row for a bigtime act... :)

My only time in the front row for a bigtime act... :) Dude, you and I have lived such parallel lives. The only time I ever was in the "front row" was at a JP concert in 1980 (it was general admission) and though I didn't get a pick from Glenn, I did shake his hand.

So thick, they'll never snap. I have about 3 left because I lost all of them, but go and get one if you are a heavy strummer.

PW_Guitarist
Same here - I went to Dunlop 3mm Stubby Triangles over 20 years ago and can't play anything else. I like the triangles, they last longer with 3 picks in one. Can't find them in music stores anymore though, I order them in bags of 30. I originally got the idea to change when I tried a fast-picking training tool called the Stylus Pick that had a diamond head and forced you to pick very lightly (or else the string would snag). I just applied the same light technique to the stubbies. Edited October 28, 2015 by PW_Guitarist

stoopid
Been using .60 and .73 Dunlop nylons for years. Heavier picks for bass. That was my previous go-to before I discovered the tortex sharps. I have a few tortex, can't tell the difference other than the +price. The orange tortex is on my desk/regularly used pile, used so much in the past it's lost the print. Tip is almost rounded too. Not even sure what I'd use it for now. Wild guess - you can tell because even minor difference can make/break a fast run, whereas my fastest runs can be played with a quarter dollar. lol
CygnusX-1Bk2
This is what I've accumulated and have left. Some of these are really old. I think the Fender triangles are from around 1979-1981. The pink Fender is from the 90's. The blue one is a Test For Echo. That and the S&A were given to me by Tony Geranios at Madison Square Garden in 2007. The green one is from Craig Chaquico who did a clinic near by promoting his album at the time. The Telefunken, Martins and Digidesign (Avid since 2004) are all NAMM freebees. I obviously like Fenders but have used Gibsons because they are similar and I liked to match guitars with picks. I used to have a bunch of Gene $immon$ and Paul Stanleys but can't find any of them now. I had a really cool metal pick I got from Chris Holmes (W.A.S.P.) when they opened for KISS. I used to have a bunch of yellow and green tortex too. Oh well. I almost bought some picks today but I think I will talk to my friend at Dunlop about having some made, though the minimum order is 800 pieces. I use the finger picks when I can no longer stand the pain from playing bass after a long layoff softening the callouses on my right hand.http://jimdiazaudio.com/Photos/Picks.jpg What do you guys have goin' on?
