Segue Myles Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 To underappreciated classics. Which is best?
laughedatbytime Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 To underappreciated classics. Which is best?Nice that you should begin the OP with a toast... :champagne: Lessons, easily.
Narps Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 (edited) Thanks young man. I know this one you had me in mind. The great, under appreciated, glorious ditty Lessons for the win. At least top 25 in the entire catalog for me. True love at first listen.... Side two rules!!!! Edited October 19, 2015 by Narps 3

Narps Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 ITIGB ain't bad either for the record. A little whimsy never hurts to break up a pretty generally intense album... :) 2
Bigbobby10 Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 I think I'm going bald and Lessons are underrated classics, but had to go with lessons 1

EagleMoon Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 (edited) People don't seem to not like ITIGB that much due to the lyrics but I always liked it. It can't beat Lessons though. Edited October 19, 2015 by EagleMoon 2
AnEggplant Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Love em' both, but I Think I'm Going Bald gets bonus points for humor. 1
Narps Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 (edited) ALL LESSONS LOVERS ONLY CONVERGE IN THIS THREAD!! You don't ever see me going in threads about songs, albums and stuff I don't like and be criticizing do you?... ;) Edited October 19, 2015 by Narps 1
Geddy's Soul Patch Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Lessons by a light year! ITIGB is a decent enough song, but Lessons is a royal beauty 1
Xanadu Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 I am going with Lessons as well, but I like ITIGB.
toymaker Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Lessons is such a cool blend of that light, folksy, cantering acoustic and the heavy electric menace of the chorus. The light, sweet memories of youth and freedom and the oppressive "follow our rules" mentality of the parent-tyrants. I think it's 2112 encapsulated.
rocket ignites Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 errrr...Classics? Well, ok...Lessons easily over Bald.
rocket ignites Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 ITIGB ain't bad either for the record. A little whimsy never hurts to break up a pretty generally intense album... :)Whimsy can work sometimes...that's what I say about Dog Years.

Different time and different sound I guess + I am an old stubborn @ss as well... :)

You opened yourself up to every album you missed out on, and you found yourself a few genuine good albums! Not all can win!
