I have to give those Budgies another listen. :)

I insist on it.

The first time I heard them, my question was whether it was a guy or a gal singing.

Oh, there are so many! I'll just pick a few artists, and limit it to a few songs each:

The Who- anything from Who's Next or Quadrophenia

Led Zeppelin- Since I've Been Loving You, Immigrant Song, That's the Way, Black Dog, Four Sticks, Going to California, When the Levee Breaks

Joni Mitchell- For Free, Conversation, The Priest, The Circle Game, All I Want, Carey, Blue, A Case of You, The Last Time I Saw Richard

Free- Ride on a Pony, Heartbreaker, Fire and Water, Mr. Big

Rolling Stones- Wild Horses, Sister Morphine, Ventilator Blues, Tumbling Dice, Happy, Sweet Virginia, All Down the Line, Dancing with Mr. D, Silver Train

Allman Brothers- Melissa, Blue Sky, Ain't Wastin' Time No More, Little Martha, Stand Back, One Way Out, Southbound, Jessica, Ramblin' Man

Grateful Dead- virtually all of the Workingman's Dead and American Beauty albums (as well as their eponymous live album from 1971, which had a bunch of never-before-recorded songs on it), Eyes of the World, Here Comes Sunshine, Weather Report Suite

Yes- Heart of the Sunrise, Starship Trooper, The Clap, Perpetual Change, Roundabout, the whole Close to the Edge album

Genesis- all of Foxtrot and Selling England By the Pound

...and I know there are a boatload of others that I'm not thinking of at the moment.

I have to give those Budgies another listen. :)

Budgie produced some good stuff for sure. It's worth a listen in my view. I only have Bandolier and Impeckable and I bought them of course way back in the day and the only reason I did was because of Rush. Budgie is a 3 piece and I was looking for another great yet to be discovered band (as I did alot back then). There are others here more expert on them than I but I would give Bandolier a whirl at least if you ever get the chance. Well worth it... :) Good stuff and well produced
