RUSHHEAD666
Sammy is a lucky fukker. 80 million on Cabo Wabo. Good for him. He's got it made and he is talented but please. STAY THE FUKK AWAY FROM VAN HALEN. JMO

Segue Myles
But it is funny how you criticise Hagar for his lyrics when it seems like choosing a decent early VH recording was a 50/50 split between original material and cover versions.
RUSHHEAD666
HAHA! MACHINE GIRL from Argentina just labeled me "Crazy!" Get in line! I love being different! I may be insane and zany but I am a Lion. The sheeple are easy prey. Even sheep have intellectual minds. They taste better. Nothing touches the first six Van Halen albums! Who cares if they did a lot of covers. I HATE "FEEDBACK!" Anyway I'm watching JEFF BECK LIVE IN TOKYO! Some real good shit. "I've done everything for you and you've done nothing for me!" Lame Hagar covering the underrated Rick Springfield. Signed, "Jesse's Earl" I'm dressed in drag right now loving me some "BLOW BY BLOW." PUN INTENED. LOL
RUSHHEAD666
And this is why I wish all fanboys could be sent to the bottom of the ocean without delay. Never label me a FAN BOY EVER AGAIN. That's the biggest INSULT EVER! Call me a prick.Call me an asshole.Call me a narcissist.Call me a self absorbed arrogant tit.Call me a ergonomic egomaniac.Call me maybe?Call Me? BLONDIE? PLEASE! Fan Bois belong in inner space or outer space. It all depends upon how warped your mind is. I can mentally spar with the best of them. So game on. I'm ready for some "Head Games." Actually I'm ready for bed. Signed, FOREIGNER Edited July 28, 2015 by RUSHHEAD666
RUSHHEAD666
I was watching RUSH live before your daddy's sperm even found that sacred egg. That's actually a compliment. Actually everyone who is born is a winner despite the outcome. First one to the egg lives. Well most of the time eh? That's really deep! That's what she said. Ok I'm done. Nite.
JohnnyBlaze
I don't dislike Sammy Hagar. But he's a bit of a hack and he's an awful lyricist. Awful. Current vocal limitations aside, David Lee Roth added wit and a sense of humor to Van Halen that truly separated them from their contemporaries. Sammy Hagar's talents are pretty much off the shelf."Awful lyricist?! Whaaat?!! The lyrics to 'I Can't Drive 55' are up there with 'Tangled Up in Blue'. ;)

bathory
At least Sammy can sing in key! those of us who are rock fans don't care about such things. technical ability means nothing if you sound like a dick "I am a real rock fan so my opinion rules yours sucks ass" Bored. I don't want to be a real rock fan. I love music, no need for labels, and I can diss and praise whatever I like. Sammy still has it. Van Halen currently suck furry donkey but. no one says you don't have a right to your opinions. you keep being you, the perfect blend of a 49 year-old man and 12 year-old girl's taste. my point was that judging music from a purely technical standpoint is silly, and I think you'd probably agree with that. aside from about a dozen tracks I think everything after fair warning sucks, so it's not like I worship dave or anything. ReRushed
Yep. I'm currently immersed in a full throttle Van Halen kick. Summertime music. But, I gotta tell ya, I dislike more Hagar songs than I do Roth songs. "Get Up""Inside""Spanked""Up for Breakfast""Amsterdam" That's a group of awful songs! OU812 is the best, song for song, Hagar album. Van Halen III... don't get me started...

g under p
Coming off a two week Sammy era binge, I'm now more than a week into a DLR era Van Halen binge. All VH, all the time. Signed, SOMEBODY GET ME A DOCTOR My name is Earle as well, I loved BOTH eras as I saw them many times on tour. The best tour from the DLR years was the 1984 tour....man they were so loud. This one is one of my favorites from the SH era...From Balance........Amsterdam Loved how heavy this was with that bass groove.
RUSHHEAD666
Coming off a two week Sammy era binge, I'm now more than a week into a DLR era Van Halen binge. All VH, all the time. Signed, SOMEBODY GET ME A DOCTOR Hahaha! I remember this thread! Classic!!! I am cranking "1984" right now! IT'S A PERFECT MASTERPIECE!!! IT NEVER GETS OLD!! Thank GOD or the UNIVERSE that I saw the 1984 Tour when I was 16! Amen. Sorry! I can't agree with you at all, although I do enjoy many Van Hagar songs musically. We have been debating the real kick ass David Lee Roth Van Halen Era against the Shite Pop Keyboard Popsicle Poop! I know you will say "Earl! Are you serious? There are keyboards all over the 1984 record!" I would say, "I know!!! But 1984 kicks ARSE!!!!!" I wore out my 5150 cassette tape in the summer of 1986. I just graduated from high school. I loved that album. But damn, I always hated the fact that Alex went to the electronic Simmons pad shit. It sucks with Van Hagar music, yet I do adore the Simmons stuff with RUSH! Oh well! It is what it is. The first six Van Halen records are perfect. I will play them until my ears fall off. I will play them until I die.

RUSHHEAD666
The first Montrose albums is one of the greatest rock records in music history. Paper Money sucks. Sammy's early Capital Records are excellent. The Geffen stuff is ok. After that forget it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS!!! BUT! "PAPER MONEY" DOESN'T SUCK! "MONTROSE" IS A TOP TEN ROCK RECORD ON EARTH!!!! FUKK YES!
