Phil has a bad back and tendonitis. Neil has chronic tendonitis. It's so sad but that's life!! I think the Genesis Canon is better than the Rush Canon. Digital Dad Posted June 19, 2015 Share Posted June 19, 2015 Nooo.. I love Genesis. Rush top to bottom they never courted the charts or widespread success. Genesis fell victim to it and their later works suffered for it. The peak stuff is incredible. I go Foxtrot>Abacab for the truly great years of Genesis, though i do love the Genesis album (always will but its clearly a different vibe). Much the same as I will go 2112>Presto for truly great rush. Love the past 4 but its defeinetly trading on past glories with a more contemporary feel. Still better than %98 of whatever else is out there, but would be nothing without the bulk of the best music behind them. Just my .02 YMMVOC Earl, my SO and my son just left for Turkey for 18 days. i'm already at a loss. What to do? Listen to more music I guess...and get really drunk!!! And Steve Hackett once, when he played old Genesis songs. And yes, it's good music, I must agree with that. But I don't get the same good feeling when I hear Genesis, as when I listen to Rush.
