What's with the ears of corn?

I could be wrong, but my guess would be because of all of the corn fields around Columbus.

Also there is a field of giant concrete ears of corn in suburban Dublin - http://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/9527

20 minutes/17 miles from downtown Columbus. I say we have a winner. Edited by JohnRogers

Just to be clear: that's not a giant chicken in the video. That's The Big Chicken.

Fixed!! I was at a conference in Atlanta two years ago and I wish I would have known about it then- everyone kept telling us to go to the Aquarium!

I'm guessing that the iconic Sam The Record Man sign will feature in one or two of the Toronto videos :)

Rushlander put up a pic of the Buffalo intro video in another thread so we can take a look at the landmark- http://www.therushfo...h/page__st__100

So my brother and I have no clue what that statue/bust on the right is supposed to be. It looks like it might be a lady wearing a crown which would fit in with our nickname of "The queen city". That's my best guess on what that might be.

Watch it turn out to be something obvious we should have known about.

Thanks for solving that mystery.

Neither my brother or I are library/museum kind of people, so that will explain why we didn't know what it was. What an odd thing for them to put in the video. I've lived here my whole life and have never seen that before or heard people talk about it. Looking at the map, it's not that far from where I live, I can get there easily. It's just I never go into the west side of the city, so that might explain why I didn't know what it was.

I bet the guys had a lot of fun googling stuff about every city to put those clips together. (Assuming they actually did it and not some aide).

Time is a gypsy caravan

Steals away in the night

To leave you stranded in Dreamland

Quoted from Dreamline (I know duh)

I think it is this, yes, SuperDawg, you are right- http://www.roadsidea....com/tip/2357

Part of the description cracked me up- "Nothing more exhilarating than wieners come to life and spotlighted under the stars!" Oh boy!! The boy and girl wiener are cute.

I'm loving this thread. So much fun to see what they come up with. I'll be interested to see what they do for Portland in July when I see them.

At this point well actually a few cities ago I wouldn't be surprised if they're using the Roadside America web site to find this stuff. Yes this thread is good clean fun.
