Funky Chicken
Who says there are A, B, and C setlists? We won;t know unless the next three shows mirror the last three song for song.I say they are still figuring out the set and checking crowd reaction and their own stamina. Principled Man
Rather than have me read almost 45 pages from when I left last night, can someone fill me in briefly on how St. Paul went? A couple of missed notes. Off half a beat here and there. I'd give their performance a score of 95/100. WELL DONE!! Alex's guitar cut out right at the start of Animate. No big deal! He quickly got another one. I hear he has several just off stage.... ;) I could be wrong, but I think some front spotlights cut out. It was hard to see Geddy and Alex at times.....especially right at the end. I thought that the sound could have been a bit better. Geddy's vocals were drowned out by the music at times. It was pretty damned loud. The Xcel Energy Center usually has excellent sound. Aside from those minor issues, the Show was AMAZING. The lights were mind-blowing, the vintage video clips were a real treat, and the blooper clips were hilarious! The Boys played GREAT. The second set was the greatest ever. I never expected such devotion to their 1970's "long song" era.... I was blown away. I want to see them again this year.........

I think it's safe to say it probably rocked harder than anything has rocked before. Thanks, Rushman. That is what one of their "harshest" critics here told me as well. :)

Lorraine
Listen to all the people singing. :)Because it's awesome. Why does everybody else get it and not you :whip: I guess the same reason everyone else gets Hemispheres and not you. :)
Lorraine
The part they skip in Xanadu is my fav part of the song... Geddy on the 12 string, that little melody at the end is perfect One of mine too. I think they skipped it because Alex's fingers can't fly that fast anymore. Just my opinion. But I can't figure out why else they would have not played it considering they were doing the entire song. bill1971
I have a feeling they have a few surprises. If not, this will still be the best setlist I will see. 1st tour was Presto or R16.
CountFloyd84
Great setlist. I would pay DOUBLE the ticket price just to hear the second half of the show; all those classic 70s songs, and the encore is still mind-blowing. To think they dusted off Lakeside Park after all this time! *crossing my fingers they come to London, U.K.*

This set had something for every RUSH fan regardless of their Era of Preference. Its had Clockwork Angels & Snake and Arrows for the newer fans, l80's & 90's stuff for the Keyboard Era, and of course that insanely great 2nd Set for the early 80's-70's crowd. It was nearly perfect! :rush: :haz: :rush:

However, I still bring up my last arguement concerning everything that came after Grace Under Pressure. I also have to agree with Lorraine. The Exit Stage Left Setlist was pretty Awesome as well! Yet I must refer you to the afore-mentioned statment. Edited May 13, 2015 by losingit2k

Indeed. We can go further and say that there has never been a "bad" setlist. It's all relative, and it's all SUBJECTIVE. One fan's banquet is another fan's poison. When the Band decides that they're gonna play certain songs, then that IS the setlist, and it's GREAT, because the BAND says so. It's THEIR music.

Tell that to the 70's fans that went to see the Signals Tour. They were pretty unhappy with it. Many considered it a failure. However, that was my first RUSH Tour and I hold it most dear! (With one major flaw - No Losing It LOL) The Grace Under pressure tour started losing most of the Epic 70's tracks. This Tour has brought it all back and still holds all those great tunes from the 80's & 90's not to mention Clockwork Angels.
