GabesCavesOfIce
Don't know why everybody is complaining? There is something for every Rush fan to enjoy. Some fans think CA is brilliant.(myself included) Just Jacob's Ladder and Xanadu along with the staples would be worth the price of admission. Quit bitching and start enjoying! It's Rush for crying out loud:) Not everybody, just me. ;) I like CA, but I just sat thru nine CA tunes last tour. First time I recall seeing a Rush crowd sit and yawn most of the show. This is our last chance to see a full production, they indicated they would focus elsewhere this tour, yet we are getting a summer repeat, allegedly. Fans have every right to be disappointed. . .
beerdband
I just find it funny cos, there are still many song slots, left. And most probably old ones since they dont have videos.

bluefox4000
I just gonna say one more thing. The set......if true.......even though they said deep cuts. Indicates that they realized Ged hit a wall vocally. and they.....rightly don't want to.......kill him, lol Mick
GabesCavesOfIce
"Well, you know I have over twenty albums of recorded music, very hard to choose one, uh, it's always the most recent child that's your favorite, but right now I'm still in love with Clockwork Angels, that whole album, and in particular there's a song called "The Garden" on it that is very close to me." Geddy - Juno Awards press conference, March 2015 No matter what any of us think, Rush is Rush because they have always played the music they wanted to play. There's a reason they don't play casino greatest hits triple bills with the remnants of Styx and Foreigner. Someone not liking what they do has never stopped them, and it certainly won't stop them now. BH and all the alleged setlist supporters, yall MISSING the point. I like CA. I like VT. I like SnA. (sorry Mick). But this tour was promised to be DIFFERENT, not the same setlist culled from R30 thru CA. And actually to pick on your point about greatest hits band...that list is full of hits, so Rush IS a casino band NOW, how many track ones are on the list ;) ? Freeze
As others have pointed out earlier , the songs listed in the tourbook are most certainly only the songs they intend to play that have video creations. During recent tours , they have pulled out deep cuts like "Entre Nous" , "Digital Man" and "Middletown Dreams" just to name a few that didn't have video. I'm pretty sure there are more songs to be added to make the full setlist. Since I am in Europe , I probably won't get to see them , so I'll miss "Jacob's Ladder". And it might be their last ever tour. To those of you going , consider yourself lucky!
presto123
Don't really think they can do a total deep cut tour if this is the last tour.(many casual Rush fans probably will go thinking it is) Maybe Rush has decided it is? Who knows? It HAS to be somewaht of a staples tour. I got my 80's cuts last tour. Ged can't sing most of the REAL early stuff, so I don't know what some of you are expecting. Sounds like there will still be some absolute gems thrown in there.
Jaminbenb
My biggest thing on any given tour is to hear something live that I haven't heard live and in person ever before... so if they actually DO play Jacob's Ladder, I'll be thrilled! I agree but with the prices they charge, there needs to be more than one song I have never heard live before. That's why I loved the CA tour, they brought out a lot of deep cuts and it helps that I loved the CA album too. 2/3 of that show was brand new material (to me at least) so I loved it. I'll wait to see the final setlist before judging this tour. BUT IT'S STILL A FULL NIGHT OF RUSH MUSIC PLAYED BY RUSH?!?!?!?! WTF? Do you NEED an entire night of stuff they've never played live? I happen to like a lot of the tunes on that setlist, and it's a bonus that it appears that they're playing something I'd always wanted to hear them play live.... Jaminbenb
What if they just came out and played Feedback the first set, then did Feedback II which will be released the day of the first show, and ended with Tom Sawyer and Spirit of the Radio as an encore? Justin Case
Do some of you folks realize how many bands play the exact same show, with absolutely 0 changes to set list or order for year upon year upon year? Seriously...we're in damn good shape as far as varying setlists from tour to tour goes. The only way it can be better is if they would start with say 50 songs and create completely unique set lists every night. People complain that they played certain songs on R30...however that was 11 years ago. By comparison, when I first saw Rush (HYF tour), 11 years prior would have been 2112. 11 years is a long time for any song to be out of rotation. bluefox4000
Well i did say early on i thought this is what we'd get. so not really a big surprise. Some people have the bar raisd to high. Mick
Na na na
All i have to say is this...it's going to be an excellent tour people. Most likely the last Rush tour, enjoy it, you are all lucky bastards being able to see Rush doing it one more time. The set list...well just wait and see, you can't do shit about it anyway :guitar:

mrfriendly
The bar has been raised high because of their last tours and in their increase in production quality. But again let's see the show first before passing any major judgment. They did rotate bravado/the pass last tour. I could see Roll the Bones def. being a rotation song. EagleMoon
Animate never worked live. it just grinds the show to a halt.......which is odd considering it's great on record. And really sucky set if true. to much CA Again Mick. Yeah with as hard as Alex says they've been working, you would think there wouldn't be as many repeats from recent tours. Not like it's been forever since they've played the songs.

theredtamasrule
SOR medly-ing into Natural Science into CTTH seems odd.. if it happens...curious to hear how that goes. Doesn't seem an obvious set of songs to cobble together into a medley. Don't get me wrong, it'll be cool if it happens
