YYZumbi Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 What about Bastille Day on next tour. What you think about that Dr. Sheldon Cooper?
Pars123 Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Yeah! But they will have to tune it down so much that it will sound like Headlong Flight! 2
The Analog Cub Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Bring it on.... Lakeside Park too while you're at it Not Lakeside Park...please no.
Narps Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 (edited) Bring it on.... Lakeside Park too while you're at itHey Zumbi. Little known fact. When you hit "like" it adds to your post count.... :dweez: Edited July 2, 2014 by Narpski 2
The Big Money Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 I love Bastille Day but I wouldn't like to hear it live at this point. Geddy would struggle with it too much. 1
jamie Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 I would actually love to hear that. I think it would sound a lot different but in a good way.
savagegrace26 Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 If they did Circumstances they could do this. 1
KennyLee Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 With a new melody line they could. It's up there... trust me. 1
savagegrace26 Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 With a new melody line they could. It's up there... trust me. Yes. They do could do it tuned down and at a lower register. Like they did with Circumstances. More singing less "screeching"... 1
WorkingAllTheTime Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Oh, no. Let the "Geddy can't hit the high notes anymore, therefore Rush sucks" trolling begin. I would love to hear this one live, even at a lower register, but methinks it won't happen unless it is an R30-like medley. 1

Some people think a high range = good singer. Not even close to true. If you're a good singer and have a high range then you are sought after but Barry White was a great singer with a very low range and I've heard people with a very high range who couldn't carry a tune if it had handles on it. I find that even worse to be honest. Some locals have guys who belt out these really high notes but of pitch. Like a needle in your ear. 2
Segue Myles Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Bastille Day and Headlong Flight. A smell a successful medley brewing...
Segue Myles Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Are you TRYING to kill Geddy? Songs this great don't really need any singing.
yyz211282 Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Are you TRYING to kill Geddy? Songs this great don't really need any singing.Really? By Tor? 2112? Cygnus?
Segue Myles Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Are you TRYING to kill Geddy? Songs this great don't really need any singing.Really? By Tor? 2112? Cygnus? In all honesty, with a few tweaks, every seventies Rush album could have been just as great minus vocals (again...with tweaks). All those songs you mentioned prove my point further, they would be even better choices! (Hemispheres instrumental is a dream of mine to hear...)
Disk98 Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 If they tune it down just one whole step, Geddy could manage it. Why the heck not?
