I have some serious kick a** homemade chili simmering in the slow cooker. :D

That's it...I gotta make some chili...

Yeah,

It turned out awesome! Just had a bowl.

Mine is getting close. Here's the recipe I found. I added a bit of cinnamon to get that Cincy flavor described earlier.

Ingredients

6 slices bacon

2 pounds ground beef chuck

1 large onion, chopped

1 large green bell pepper, chopped (I left this out)

4 cloves garlic, finely chopped

Kosher salt

1/4 cup chili powder

1 tablespoon ground cumin

2 teaspoons paprika

2 teaspoons dried oregano

2 tablespoons tomato paste

1 12 -ounce bottle amber beer (I used a brown)

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

1 28 -ounce can whole plum tomatoes, crushed by hand

1 1/2 cups low-sodium beef broth, plus more if needed

2 15 -ounce cans black beans, drained and rinsed

Mine is pretty close to that. I use an orange bell pepper instead. I will have to use the beer next time.

The correct amount of beer to put into chili is 13 ounces. Yes, it is just a little over a bottle of beer. That means that you have to drink the rest. Oh well! :hail:

I just finished a ribeye steak and green beans.

What,

No baked potato and garlic bread? :P

Not unless there are non-carb and damned tasty versions of those.

:sarcastic:
