Sadly, I have to say Rush. It is unfortunate, because the band in the #1 slot went down the tubes thirty years ago, but they played such a key role in my teens and twenties.

At the moment it's Animal Collective, but any day now they are going to steal Rush's spot. I will probably change the order of bands on my interests list when that happens. I guess its just denial thats keeping me.

I can't even settle on a first favorite band these days. Rush will probably always be near the top for me, I just keep going back.

Right now, I'm unhealthily obsessed with St. Vincent. Next week, who knows?

I know you didn't ask for it but my top 5 Favorite bands are

1 The Beatles

2. Toto.

3. Steely Dan

4. Queen

5. Genesis (Collins Era)

Sorry Rush ain't there.....but if you expanded it they would be.

Now solo artists would be even harder.

My second favorite would be REO or Journey. Great vocals, harmonies and I always loved performing them.

Rush is #1 and always will be. :notworthy:

Why? The first seven Moodies' albums were the best. Unfortunately, once they broke up and then regrouped sans Mike Pinder and their excellent producer, Tony Clarke, that was that for them.
