Geddy's Soul Patch
Yeah, but alex isn't going to pick to many crazy songs, for all we know he could be talking about newer unplayed songs. We know the obvious ones, the spirit of radio, and Tom Sawyer and limelight and 2112, the ones they always play. Where's are favorite setlist maker when you need him?? WHERE'S LOSINGIT2K??? Considering the Flowing: (What Alex stated about rare tracks, The Re-Release of Vapor Trails and the Debut Album "RUSH", The Rumor by Eddie Trunk, they are Recording New Stuff, The Success of CA and 2015 being the 35th anniversary of PeW) Here is my Wish/ Prediction Setlist): 41st Anniversary Tour: Set 1: R41 Medley (Finding My Way, In the Mood, What Your Doing, Working Man) (Rare)LimelightCaravanNew Rush Song (Never Played)Medley: By Tor & The Snow Dog-The Necromancer-By Tor (Reprise) RareCut to the Chase / Alt. I think the Preulde of Hemispheres into Xanadu is a long shot though, based on how poorly Geddy sang the prelude on the Counterparts tour Edited March 21, 2014 by Geddy's Soul Patch

edm2112
Really hoping Natural Science gets back on the set. Just that one would make it worth a long drive and expensive ticket for me....that or if for some unlikely reason they tried a Fountain of Lamneth medley...Been dying to see Neil play Didacts and Narpets
CrimsonE
This is also time for a note of caution: as good as much of their very early stuff is, given Geddy's voice, it's unlikely that we'll see much of their 70's material. However, there are a number of songs that I think could be reworked to fit Geddy's style now. Also, since the last tour was heavily focused upon the synth era, I don't believe we'll see any surprises from those albums, but we could see more of their 90's material make its return: And so, here is my wish list for surprises to include on the tour: NecromancerLakeside ParkIn the EndIn the Mood (it's been a while since we've seen that one)What You're Doing.Jacob's Ladder (I think this is now the most popular deep cut since Camera Eye was finally played on the Time Machine tour).Heresy or You Bet Your LIfe (never done live)Speed of Love or Alien Shore (never done live)Test For EchoDouble AgentScars or War Paint I'd also love to see them do Hemispheres in its entirety, but that's a song that Geddy really can't sing live anymore, so if it makes its return at all, it will likely be the prelude only. Thunder Bay Rush
I’ll be living in New Brunswick by then, so let’s hope for another Halifax show. That’ll be a four drive. No sweat, since I’m used to driving to Winnipeg or Minneapolis to see them and both of those drives are 8 hours.I’d shoot a fawn in the face just to see Jacob’s ladder this time around.
Powderfinger
I am so pumped. I honestly prefer a tour with rarities to a new album. That's partly because I've only seen them live twice despite being a fan since the late 80s. There's so much great Rush music that I have yet to see and hear live. I'm excited about this! This is interesting because one could argue that they were already doing rarities on the Clockwork Angels Tour. So if they mean older rarities they therefore believe Geddy is up for the singing challenge, wish is encouraging. I'd really like to see then mix up the set lists a bit more. Diehard fans will pay to see two or three shows in a row if they know they'll see an unpredictable blend of material. I know their light shows are highly choreographed and precise, as are their musical keyboard/pedal triggers and whatnot. But if they can rotate out 3-4 songs as they did during the CA Tour then I'm sure they could bring that number up to 8-9. Can't wait for updates. Thunder Bay Rush
And, wouldn’t it great if they DIDN’T play Tom Sawyer, Spirit, Limelight or 2112? I could live with that because it would cleat some room for some seriously underplayed, ultra-wicked Rush tunage. Would love to hear Cinderella Man… and ANY part of Lamneth, even just an instrumental section.
The Analog Cub
As for "not-so-rare-but-it's-been-a-while" stuff, I want The Trees back in the set. I really missed that one after not hearing it since the 2nd leg of the S&A tour. Same goes for Xanadu. Please for the love of god play Xanadu, I don't care if it's even only 75% of it like on the R30 tour, that version kicked ass anyway. <dragon intro video> One Little VictoryFreewillWorking Them AngelsSubdivisionsAfterimage (RARE)YYZAnimate (NOT SINCE R30)Clockwork AngelsThe TreesCut To The Chase (NEVER PLAYED LIVE)The Enemy Within (RARE)Countdown (RARE)Secret Touch <intermission><video> Tom SawyerTest For Echo (RARE)Red BarchettaCold Fire (RARE)Distant Early WarningNatural Science (RARE-ish)Headlong FlightDrum SoloDifferent Strings (you know the drill, Lerxst solo acoustic, then extended at the end) (RARE)Xanadu (RARE)La Villa Strangiato (complete with Lerxst rant)The Garden (if it can be done without the strings, otherwise skip it)Working Man (none of that reggae BS) <encore> Far CryThe Spirit Of RadioCrossroads (COVER SONG)Limelight :D
Cygnus 2112
They've never been to my city. Maybe they will this time. We have a beautiful arena with ten thousand empty seats waiting to be filled in the event that they swing by me. I drove 10 hours one way to go to one of the shows I attended for this last tour. Never thought I'd drive that far just to go to a concert. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Not everyone has the money to do that as much as we would love to. They rarely come within 250 miles of me. In the 20+ years I've been a fan I've seen them in my home state twice (and still driving 120-150 miles one way). Closest for me is typically Salt Lake (about a 4 hour drive one way). So, travel is ALWAYS part of the concert plans when it comes to Rush. That's what makes it so expensive. But, the point of a journey is not to arrive, right? I've met some amazing people while traveling to see Rush. I don't regret it...I'll never forget it.I've seen Rush twice and it was 8 hours travel one way, for both shows. I'd love to see multiple shows per tour but I'm not made of money either.

Would love to hear Cinderella Man… and ANY part of Lamneth, even just an instrumental section. That first part ain't happening. There's still those audience members who only know those 4 songs (and YYZ). And I like hearing those songs live...regardless of how many times I've heard them live already. At least they're 4 great songs and it's not like going to a Maiden concert to hear Run To The Hills almost every time, which really isn't that great of a song.

Geddy could sing Cinderella Man; it's in his current range.

Luckily I live within a few hundred mile driving distance of most of those dates. That and I had people to stay with a couple of times. Honestly next to the shows meeting the people is the best part. I've met some really nice folks at shows and on the way there and back as well.

geddysgal13
I work 2 jobs and average about 65-70 hours a week. Why? So I can do things like go to RushCon and go to as many shows next year as I can. Some people may think that's kind of crazy but it is soooo worth it to me!
Principled Man
And, wouldn’t it great if they DIDN’T play Tom Sawyer, Spirit, Limelight or 2112? I would be really impressed if they omitted Tom Sawyer. I think they should do it just because they can. Seriously, they don't need to play it....unless they're really interested in pleasing the casual fan who knows only four Rush tunes. I hope they aren't.

I hope they aren't.They've basically said it's permanently in their set. I'm glad about that. There's always first Rush show folks in the crowd. I'm already plotting to take my stepson. It'll be his first Rush show. This is why it's permanent. Quite rightly so.

The Analog Grownup
"We want to try and play different material this time," Lifeson says. "I've always wanted to do some rarer Rush material, and this should be a good opportunity to do that. I also think it's going to be a long tour. We just need to stay healthy until then." Just when I was about to retire from the band.. Yeah, like that was gonna happen. ;)
