My little slice of hometown is in a serious drought so to speak...but then again...that's how it goes in a state that refuses to even put medical marijuana up for a vote. One guy gets pinched...the whole county feels it. Hopefully the train to bangkok will make a stop here soon.

I keep checking the old site that had the photos from previous tours...almost daily. Still nothing. Why change the theme of that site to the R40 theme if you're not planning on putting the photos up?

Will definitely check this out. Its playing in 3 theaters in my town, so that's convenient. From the looks of the trailer they decided not to use the version of Comfortably Numb when Gilmour made the surprise appearance...kind of a bummer, but the cinematography looks fantastic.

Here's a view from the S&A tour. Its pretty basic...A volume pedal that helps with the intro to Xanadu for example. A wah pedal that mainly gets used during some solos...Like at the end of TSOR. The rest is a unit to change different other effects through his amp rack. It basically just puts a bunch of pedals in one box...so if he wanted a certain distortion or delay added to his guitar tone, he just switches all that from the stage while Scotty takes care of the rest. Then you have the synth pedals used for sounds that Ged is too busy to play. Though its an old photo, his stage gear really hasnt changed much aside from eliminating on-stage amp cabinets. Xanadu took the cake for me. Wish I could have seen the sets with Losing It and Nat Sci...Although I probably would have wept during Losing It, I will say, Lakeside Park was quite a treat as well.

Really wish Gilmour would add a few more dates. I'd pay good money to see Mason and Gilmour tour together...Not under the Pink Floyd name of course...but in recent interviews Nick has said he'd be more than happy to start touring and playing that music. Still pretty excited about the new Gilmour album...I'll take one of those over a Waters solo album any day.

Wow. That was great. He really captured that feeling when you first discover Rush. That initial blunt force feeling of complete fascination...and that feeling is still strong. I had been playing music for years before finding out about Rush, but I can say that the moment I finally did, I really started to play...I mean REALLY play. One of my few regrets is that I didn't come across them sooner.

He posted a photo talking about last night being "the end of an era" or something like that....someone asked if they were breaking up or something. He said "No, they are retiring. This was the last Rush show" or something to that extent.

I figured something like this would have been wiped off the internets like the DW NAMM video where John Good spilled the beans about "El Darko" Unless I hear it from Ged, Alex, or Neil I wouldn't believe it. Besides, we all know the Clockwork Angels novel was garbage. The man can't even write fiction, much less report any kind of actual fact...

I used to be able to lift exceptionally well for my size during high school...but I realized my knees weren't exactly cut out for lifting. Would definitely like to start strength training again sometime soon....Just maybe not going so hard on squats.

I've thought about it myself...but here are a few thoughts I've had so far... Be ready to shell out some money...A friend of mine owns a shop and I asked him about getting a Starman done. He said it would need to be a good size tattoo to look decent. Size = $$$. Be ready to explain to confused people that you're not worshiping satan....I can't tell you how many times my 2112 shirt caught some strange glances...Hell, one lady told me I was going to hell for wearing that shirt. But hey, people are strange. Location, Location, Location. That was pretty self explanatory. I'm still deciding, so I know how you're feeling. My advice would be to start with something smaller and a little more obscure/subtle....I've thought about getting the P/G done somewhere because it can be done cheaply and with a small size...plus its a pretty cool design on its own...not that the starman isnt...you know what I mean. Hope that helped some.

That is true but never 300 bucks! For a picture and an engraved plate. Waste of money. Yeah, I just looked at the pics closer. You really can't see them. I guess too many people were stealing the pics from the last tour so now they're trying to make sure they can't. ....Yeah I mean I guess I'm guilty of the old control + print screen thievery...But if that IS the case, why update http://photos.rush.com with the R40 theme if they weren't planning on putting them up eventually? I'm a little salty about this...I know there's at least one thumbnail from the NOLA show that I could possibly see myself in....but without CSI-style image enhancement technology...I may never know..

Been wondering the same thing....Usually if you check photos.rush.com you can find the official photos...same place as last tour, but there hasn't been a single photo uploaded to that site for this tour. I'm thinking with the short break they have after tonight's show, we'll start to see some photos emerging...With all the work they've been putting in, I'd be surprised if they had the time on a single off day to sort and post photos. Hopefully they'll be up soon! I want to see if I can find myself in any of them!

Bought mine 1st day of on sale, 1 hour in. So, February? Yeah, thats probably a couple of days earlier than I got mine...So that can't be it...Methinks something fishy is afoot...Having no knowledge about the logic behind VIPNation's shipping habits...I'd probably try and send them an email or call the 800 number they slap on every email. They never sent me any kind of notification saying they were sending it to me...I just went on UPS and signed up for the free bits of that UPS MyChoice thing and it showed me a calendar view of May and VIPNATION was the only thing listed...couple of clicks and I had all the tracking info....so if you haven't done that, it's worth a shot. I can't see any reason why yall haven't received your items...I know I'd be pretty pissed too if it took this long. Even on the last tour, my stuff was waiting for me the day after the show when I got back in town. I know the UPS ground service they use definitely doesn't do any Saturday deliveries...so hopefully after this weekend you guys will get your swag.

Yeah, I was at the New Orleans show...I watched my VIP package travel since the Monday before that show...showed up late the next Tuesday. When did you folks buy your tickets? You and Disembodied Spirit seem like you're all in the same neck of the woods as me...so I can only assume it has something to do with whenever you bought your ticket maybe?

It looks like Geddy personalized his sig for you. :) They personalize all of them now. I'm glad they personalize them. Makes it harder for people to put these kind of things on eBay...I'm guessing they take turns personalizing them...I remember seeing some on the last tour that clearly looked like Neil's handwriting. Its neat thinking "hey, Geddy Lee wrote my name...NBD" haha! Hope all of you who are sending stuff to venues get your items back! It's like my birthday came a month early!
