HomesickAlien
From New World Man: He's a radio receiverTuned to factories and farmsHe's a writer and a rangerAnd a young boy very hard That's what I hear. :| Never had trouble with the last line there, but the second to last is actually "He's a writer, an arranger". I myself didn't know that until a year or two ago. I always heard it as "a rider and a ranger". I never noticed that! I had to get the CD out and check the booklet; two sites I went to had the lyrics listed as "a writer and a ranger". :fuckinputer:

presto123
The one from CA that I noticed from first listen is from Anarchist....."a missing part of me that grows around my lucky cage". KennyLee
I also thought it was "a better managed time", not "a better vanished time". I actually always thought it was a better banished time, which actually still makes more sense to me.

gangsterfurious
Disclaimer: I take no responsibility for these getting stuck in your head, too. Enter with caution. ;) OK, the title says it all pretty much, are there any lyrics that misheard, or even after you know the correct lyric you continue to mishear? Every time I listen to "The Body Electric" I can't help but hear this line: It replays each of the daysA hundred years of routines As: It replays each of the daysA hundred years of poutine (For those of you going "huh?" poutine is a French Canadian mix of french fries, cheese curds, and gravy. It is quite tasty if your eyes can ignore how it looks and your arteries can bear it.) Oh my Ged I love poutine, and lemony cake. No wonder I've gained so much weight since I've become a Rush fan, they are putting subliminal food messages in their songs.
MarkScudder
As a kid I heard "It replays each of the days / a hundred years of pre-teens." Maybe I was just unknowingly prophesying the horror that is Miley Cyrus. Edited December 20, 2013 by FuzzplugJones
