Witch Hunt.

"Quick to judge, quick to anger, slow to understand -

Ignorance and prejudice and fear walk hand in hand"

Those words made a huge impression on my teenage mind (I had them written on my school notebook blush4.gif ) and they have stayed with me ever since.

I love the whole album, but I voted for Tom Sawyer. This is the Rush's best known song (along with Subdivisions), so I've chosen this one.

Very tough one, this album.

Fav song differs from time to time,

Red Barchetta, sometimes Witch Hunt, YYZ (masterpiece).

But also like Vital Signs alot.

OK, its Red barchetta this time

Such a touch choice, but I had to go with Tom Sawyer. The guitar solo part of that song is aweome and the whole song is just really catchy.

I would pick YYZ for second and Limlight as 3rd.

I didn't actually even like limelight till like last week. lol

i voted for Tom Sawyer. My name is Tom... and i do not feel that i am in any way separate from society (i.e., from what society is). "And what you say about his company is what you say about society." And my mind is not for rent to any God or government (thank goodness)! smile.gif

Vital Signs is also really cool! Most people, unfortunately, have mere ideas, opinions, and conflicting impressions about life and order... all mere mental images... without ever understanding the true essence and holistic nature of it (beyond words and mere images).

"A tired mind become a shape shifter,

Everybody need a mood lifter,

Everybody need reverse polarity.

Everybody got mixed feelings

About the function and the form.

Everybody got to elevate from the norm."

au revoir

Vital Signs-completely slaughters the Police on their own game.Is a billion times better, tho.

But again, the whole album is spectacular. The rest of the album ties for second place, this song is just that bit more special for me.

Limelight, but like others have said it's kind of impossible to just pick one.

The Camera Eye
Grim faced and forbidding, there faces closed tight, an angular mass of New Yorkers.pacing in rythem, race the oncoming night, they chase through the streets of Manhatten.head first humanity pause at a light then flow through the streets of the city

All these songs are among my favorites, but Red Barchetta is my all-time favorite Rush song. 2.gif

I'm going down through the albums in order, and it gets harder to pick every time. I'm completely stuck on this one. I'll have to go with Limelight because it is the fist song I saw Rush perform live, so it has an incredible significance for me.

This album is a listen-through, meaning that there is no weak track to skip over. If you start from Tom Sawyer, you go all the way through to Vital Signs.

That being said, Vital Signs edges out the rest by a hair because its my current anthem.

"Everybody got to deviate from the norm..."
