And The Best Sniper Movie Ever Made Is?
Turn Me On Dead Man replied to RUSHHEAD666's topic in Video Vertigo
Does anyone remember Phonebooth with Forrest Whitaker and the, uh...the guy who played the main character? From what I remember, it wasn't bad. -

http://filmsack.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/982006_0914_beetlejuice294.jpeg I know this doesn't pertain to Jeffery Jones's case, but just look at that face. I'll never watch Beetlejuice the same way again. Thanks, Jeff. -

QUOTE (Spindrift82 @ Jul 2 2010, 11:47 PM) I actually liked the guy before this came out. Now I can't stand him. He's changed Beetlejuice for me, sadly. At least we still have Wenona (spelling?) Ryder. -

Ah, MAN! I LOVED this guy in Beetlejuice. -
Pulp Fiction: The Butch Crash Scene. I love how Tarantino shot it. Reservoir Dogs: The infamous Ear Scene. When Mr. Blonde is dancing, it's just so suspenseful and demented.

QUOTE (Presto-digitation @ Sep 11 2009, 02:13 PM) QUOTE (job @ Sep 11 2009, 02:08 PM)QUOTE (Presto-digitation @ Sep 11 2009, 01:34 PM) I'm MORE a fan of Rubber Soul onward... This is exactly how I have always felt, HOWEVER, the new warmth, depth and fullness applied to even the earliest work has me positively mesmerized. Regarding RS & on: The White Album and Abbey Road are especially improved by the spectacular remastering. And finally, my favorite Fab Four song is "For No One". I bought the box, got into the car, and played it first. What a joy it was to hear it in this form, with Paul's bassline fully audible! Then I'm even MORE stoked to start with the early stuff. Sadly the only pre-RS album I have is the debut, Please Please Me...and I love it. Just never got around to With The Beatles, Help, Beatles For Sale, etc....(and yet I probably know 3/4 of the songs just the same). I'm reading this Beatles book by their former sound engineer and it's really got me revisiting their earliest facts: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51bUbfn1agL._SS500_.jpg Nice book. Well-written and stuffed with interesting facts. Sorry for the double post. -

QUOTE (ReRushed @ Dec 28 2009, 08:12 PM) QUOTE (Xanadu93 @ Dec 28 2009, 09:08 PM) I've heard all the songs they play on the radio, but that's it. So yes, when it comes to their albums I'm a Beatles n00b. You're in for a treat, IMO. Oh, man. That reminds me of my first Sgt. Pepper experience. I popped it in fresh. I was driving home with my mom and brother. We just listened to it until the "A Day In The Life" fadeout. "Let it play through again," I said. That February I listened to the CD almost everyday. It was a ritual. I wore the booklet out, that's for damned sure. -
I finished it last month. Great movie, great actors. The lad who portrayed Lennon was perfect. I'm not sure about the movie's reliability, but I thought it was .

I purchased The White Album on Halloween. What can I say? It sounds great. The packaging is nice, except I had a little trouble pulling the discs free. Magical Mystery Tour next. P.S. WOW, this thread is popular. I forgot about posting it. -
I'll be seeing this. Jeff Bridges is in it. He looks like the Dude, again.

Movies you loved in your youth...

Dumb And Dumberer.... Yeah, I know. -
The Graduate. Holy crap. I apologize for the double post, but I just had to share this experience. What a terrific movie. Dustin Hoffman was amazing, of course. I loved the style of directing; far ahead of its time. At times it dragged, I have to admit.. 8/10.

What are the best PURELY comedic movies?
Turn Me On Dead Man replied to rushgoober's topic in Video Vertigo
http://www.1watchmovie.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/Almost-Heroes.jpg Ah, the memories. I remember laughing so hard at this movie when I was younger. Does anyone else remember this lost jewel? -
An American Werewolf in London. Great movie with a well-balanced blend of horror and comedy. 10/10.

QUOTE (theworkingman @ Oct 16 2009, 07:03 PM) I no longer think "In the Aeroplane Over the Sea" is overrated. I finally "get" it. What took you so long? I can't get Let Down out of my head. -

QUOTE (Mara @ Oct 12 2009, 02:51 PM) QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Oct 12 2009, 11:47 AM) What kind of sick frack would get turned on by naked pics of a cartoon character? I can believe anything after learning about furries. Those people are just extremely f*cking creepy. Yeah, tell that to my friend's boyfriend. The guy's obsessed with furries. AND he has a big forehead. -
Kramer, "He's becoming a minimalist." George, "Isn't he the one that likes fat women?" Jerry, "Doesn't the fat fetish conflict with the minimalism?" Arguably the best Seinfeld quote of Season 3. Brilliant.

I won't lie. The first time I saw the poster, it creepppeedd me out. But I'd love to see it, now. I'm a big fan of Spike Jonze's earlier work; Being John Malcovich and Adaptation.

Last week, I watched it for the first time. It's powerful, but a bit long. Oh well, Morgan Freeman is in it. Need I say more?

He was a very talented man. I didn't hear about this until today!
