  1. why did he need money? I haven't read any of his books either
  2. After over 30 years of uncanny playing and touring, I very much doubt Neil needs extra money by now... so he isn't exactly forced to to continue playing is he? But he is, so despite the fact he seems to dislike touring or whatever, he still obvisouly enjoys creating and playing music... and do we need more than that?
  3. I got this album a few days ago and I've listened to it at least 4-5 times and I must say that it is much better than I would've expected for a first solo album! Usually on avery album there's one song that I find forgettable, but on this... there isn't! It keeps proving the fact that Lee is one hell of a musician. His singing flows perfectly with the music since he wrote the lyrics and music, but with Rush there are some songs where his singing is a little awkward with the music, but that's because of the lyrics (I'm not saying the lyrics put a dent in Rush, on the contrary they are part of the essence of Rush of course!) and it shows what a good singer he is, especially Still, that song is the one that stuck out immediately, it's just beautiful, and it's the one I voted for. But the rest is excellent too. Great, mesmerizing album! Looking forward to any future Lee solo albums as much as future Rush albums!
  4. leave that thing alone! it has the coolest sounding solo ever!
  5. i chose Witch Hunt because it is a song that just stayed with me... i could never get tired of that song but yet again I'd say the same thing of all Moving Pictures.... it is a hard decision
  6. Hemispheres it is one of the greatest songs ever in my opinion
  7. it was a tough one to decide between Earthshine and Nocturne but I went with Nocturne because I find it has such an awesome riff near the beginning, just before Geddy says: "Did I have a dream...." for the first time, and I also find that the whole song has a haunting feel to it in the background that is hard to percieve...
  8. all Rush instumentals are so powerful and show true and pure talented musicianship so it is very hard to decide which is best... la villa strangiato has such a haunting feel to it (especially that first solo), YYZ has such a rush to it (pun intentional ), leave that thing alone... i don't know what it is about that song.. a certain style, but I just love every bit of it, main monkey business has the most interesting sounding solo at some point, and hope is just lovely, but if I'd have vote which is best, I'd say leave that thing alone Rush is the God of instrumentals!
