If I were ever forced to dispose of my Rush albums, PoW is the first one I'd chuck. I'd miss The Big Money and Emotion Detector, but that's about it.

Signals, on the other hand, features six songs I love and is one of my three favorite Rush records. Easy choice.

Definitely Signals.

Then I'd go for GUP and HYF before getting round the PoW

Power Windows. There's just too many great songs on that album.

I don't how I lived with myself before hearing Marathon and Manhattan Project. Those 2 songs have been life changers for me.

Power Windows by a TINY margin. I just love the melodies on POW. every song is a winner to me. It has one of my all time Fav tunes in Marathon. I love Signals too. It has some of Neil's best drumming. It also has one of my Fav tunes in Losing It. What tips the scales is Countdown on Signals.....awful song, IMHO.

Both Wonderful records....but POW gets the nod from me. yes.gif

Interesting. Thought it would be closer, but there's only been 19 votes so far. I have to go with Power Windows. I know its more 'poppy', but the production is better and the songs are just plain better on the whole. Subdivisions is the only song I absolutely love on Signals, while I love a majority of Power Windows.

Signals by a bit of a margin, although I really enjoy PW a bunch.

Now that Digi has made his opinion known I can finally give this thread the treeduck stamp of approval...

Don't get cocky about it though... angry.gif

I said "Like them both equally".

I tried to decide, but kept going back and forth. Subdivisions? Manhattan Project? Analog Kid? The Big Money? New World Man? Middletown Dreams?

Both classic albums, both in my personal Rush Top 5.

I voted that I like them both equally because there are different times when one is better than the other. PoW is a fall album for me and Signals is summer. I'm not sure why, maybe it's because of when I was introduced to them...They both are fantastic records and my favorites of the post MP era.

Signals by a longshot. The songs are just as catchy as the ones on Power Windows, but the entire Signals album feels like there's a black cloud hanging over it. The songs have this dark moodiness to them that I love.

Power Windows. Better songs, better sound, comparable lyrics (quality-wise) and just a better flow and feel. But both are great.

And to play the song vs song game, which is easy since both albums have eight...

Subdivisions over Big Money

The Analog Kid over Grand Designs

Manhattan Project over Chemistry

Marathon over Digital Man

Territories over The Weapon (barely)

Middletown Dreams over New World Man

Losing It over Emotion Detector

Mystic Rhythms over Countdown

PoW wins 5-3. cool.gif
