Fangirl on

Reading today that Neil himself is narrating really makes me want to purchase the audiobook when it's released. I could listen to him talk for hours. I think he has such a sexy, suave voice wub.gif He could honestly do radio if he wanted to.

Anyone else happy to hear he's narrating?

The press release also reveals that the hardcover edition will contain full-color illustrations by Syme and that the audiobook will be narrated by Neil Peart himself.

Oh, hell yeah! He has a lovely baritone that is well-suited to reading for audio books. He did samples of a few of his books on his website and I really enjoyed listening. Yes, I will get the Hardcover and the audio book, both. yes.gif

I'm all for listening to Neil's voice for the book... wub.gif

As I once read in the comments of a YouTube video of one of Neil's interviews: "I could listen to him read the phone book..."

Personally, I was hoping Alex would narrate, but in a high-pitched falsetto. tongue.gif

But yeah, Neil does have a pretty suave voice. The man could definitely do radio.

I think it's great. Neil does very good voice overs on his drumming DVDs.

How is the DVD, "Neil Peart Taking Center Stage: Lifetime of Live Performances"?

It looks very interesting.

As long as he understands that there's come acting involved, it could work out well. There's more to reading a work of fiction than just saying the words on the page. The best audiobooks have almost cinematic qualities to them.
