Distant Signals Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Hello Ohio Folk, Just a plug to let you know about my Rush Tribute band called Distant Signals from Pittsburgh, PA We will be playing a downtown Cleveland venue called Wilberts on Saturday Oct 27th at 9PM. If in the area or will be in the area (considering Rush is playing the next night at the Quicken Loans Arena), please stop in and check us out. We would appreciate the support and please pass this along to anyone who might be interested. See you in 4 months Oh, and we'll be playing some really obscure songs, for those die hard Rush fans
Ghostnotes Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 I remember going to Cleveland stadium to watch a fight and a football game broke out between the Steelers and Browns.

My brother always says, "the best thing about being from Cleveland is that you don't live there anymore. That's it." C'mon now, downtown Cleveland has gotten better with the Horseshoe casino in the former Higbees department store( Part of Christmas Story was filmed there) is really nice and the bars and pubs in the Gateway district have been rejuvenated because of it. The new aquarium in the flats I've heard nothing but positive comments about it and the Indians are still serious about " trying" to win baseball games..(fingers crossed)
ytserush Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 QUOTE (NYM86 @ May 13 2012, 07:56 PM) new jersey represent....... New Jersey is like Ohio even moreso....
waddler25 Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 I'm from Bowling Green, which is 20 minutes from Toledo. I've been to one show in Columbus from August 2010, and I hope to make it to at least one more. The setlist was amazing on the Time Machine Tour, and Alex Lifeson has always been my favorite guitar player. While it was the La Villa Strangiato solo that I was looking forward to hearing, it was ultimately his Working Man solo that made my jaw drop. Even with all of his talent, I was still shocked at the stamina he displayed with that solo.

Middletown Dreamer Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 I'm not from Ohio originally, but I graduated from The Ohio State University (GO BUCKS!!!) and lived in Cleveland for several years after college. Loved it in both cities.
