Looks like Gonzalez, Beckett, Crawford and Punto are heading to Dodgers in a blockbuster trade...

http://espn.go.com/boston/mlb/story/_/id/8...xit-sources-say

Smells of desperation to me on the part of the Dodgers after the Giants swept them in their own park.

Gonzalez hits 3 run homer in first at-bat as a Dodger...

A caller to WEEI yesterday commented on this perfectly. In essence, he said Gonzalez could have homered the first 53 times he batted after the trade, and it would STILL be a good one for the Red Sox.

Given the Giant's schedule and the Dodger's schedule for September, the Dodgers have to win the majority of the last 6 games against the Giants, if they want to have a hope of reaching the playoffs. Dodger's aren't helping their cause by losing a series to Colorado and dropping to 3 1/2 games below.

Jays 8 Banks 5

The Jays can't beat anyone else, but they can take 2 of 3 from the Banks.

K-Rod just can't string together good outings.... doh.gif doh.gif

A classic crazy game in windy Wrigley...although the Cubs had zero homers.......they did get about 11 walks.... 062802puke_prv.gif 062802puke_prv.gif

Equaling their total from the previous 129 games.

It was Bob Uecker Day at Miller Park. The Brewers unveiled a statue in his honor, and many VIP's came to the ceremony to praise and have a little fun with old Uek. It was a GREAT day for Milwaukee, and the Brewers even did their part by winning the game!!

At this point, I will be happy with 63 wins. At least it won't be a 100 loss season. Still think the team has a lot going for it, just too many injuries this year. August was rough and September probably won't be much better. eh.gif

I have no idea who to root for in the pennant race. unsure.gif
