danielmclark
QUOTE (Apollo @ Mar 16 2012, 10:43 AM) I'm too lazy to make one up but you all have done a great job. It's actually depressing because I am sure I would prefer any one of the lists in this thread to the actual setlist in the next tour. Rush really needs to vary up the setlist more, it seems they only change 4-5 songs per tour and many times they just bring a song back from two tours ago. Yep. There was a thread from last year talking about the TM setlist, and I went and examined the set lists from a few past tours. They play about 60-70% the same show every time. Then there's about 10-20% that's new material, and about 10-20% that's random back catalog stuff (which is often tunes that were played on past tours getting swapped back in). Very rarely do we get a total surprise like we did with Presto on the TM tour.

driventotheedge
QUOTE (Lost In Xanadu @ Mar 16 2012, 10:14 AM) Driven has seemed to have the strongest showing off of any one album... wonder why? LOL For me it isn't the reason you're hinting at because I like a lot of T4E. For me it's simply because Driven is the best song on an album of about 6 or 7 songs I really like. DistantEarlyRushFan
Threads like this remind me of what is so awesome about Rush. Anyone's setlist here trumps most other band's entire catalogs.

goose
QUOTE (ALifeson85 @ Mar 15 2012, 08:29 PM) Let's have some fun! Ok - so say Rush creates a setlist where they choose ONE song only, from each album...what would be YOUR ideal setlist?? Here's what I conjured up... Finding My Way Analog Kid Driven -- "Good Evening!!" -- Caravan Turn The Page The Main Monkey Business Between The Wheels Ghost Of A Chance Jacob's Ladder Middletown Dreams Limelight Show Don't Tell Nocturne Double Agent By-Tor & The Snowdog -Drum Solo- The Necromancer The Trees Xanadu -Encore- 2112 (full song) That's a great setlist, other than Show Don't Tell. I pick Scars or War Paint.
